Get ready for another round of layoffs @NianticLabs staff. Things aren't looking good for your recent changes in @PokemonGoApp or your new boring project.
@PokemonGoApp I find it amusing that the one item that probably nets them the most money is what they limited our usage on. I'm just waiting to hear how many employees they lay off in the next six months due to "economic downturn".
@elonmusk Wow! That's $38.00 less than a year for a blue check mark. They're both about the same blue too, so it's like comparing apples to apples. I bet that shirt will last longer than a year, though.
@fuckyouiquit This gives me hope that the working class may yet be able to show these companies they would be nowhere if it wasn't for our hard work every day.
@ohhnoitsco Me too, but one day when I was 37 I realized I was no longer allergic to foods. I had not had seasonal allergies for about 2 years, so I tested raw broccoli again. No issues. Nuts, bananas, guacamole, apples. All no issues any longer. It just happened suddenly. They all stopped.
@VERITAStrophe@smokeismedicine I myself worked two full-time jobs during college (40 & 32 hours) and only afforded it through loans and the part my parents paid. Then a year cost considerably less, but I finished with over 20k debt. It's ridiculous how expensive it's gotten. Sad it's not going to teachers.
@JacobRHerwick @darkcuriou @Alial18451350 @smokeismedicine That's mostly correct, but you should only need to retake 1-3 classes at worst. That's when you test out of those classes. Have a plan going in to your associates of where you plan to finish. See what classes may not transfer. Keep your class material to refresh for testing.
@darkcuriou @Alial18451350 @smokeismedicine That's correct. Your resume doesn't even need to include the first school. All that matters is that Bachelors degree exists for whatever field they require. Though I've hired someone before that laid it all out. I was more impressed in his reason than where he went to finish.
@VERITAStrophe@smokeismedicine Also a good point, but likely you have received some pretty nice scholarships with having been on the honors track. I would imagine your debt shouldn't be crippling as it is for the majority of college goers. Congratulations on making it easier for yourself in your future!
@smokeismedicine Going to a four-year overpriced college/university is a personal choice. Go to a local college, get your gen eds out of the way and get an associates degree for way cheaper. Then take your classes for your major at the college of your choice. Graduate with far less debt. Win!
@MrAurora_@liltiddybighart@fuckyouiquit As a manager with a conscience, I'm also disappointed at what the top positions make. If they were paid more reasonably, 40-50 employees could be added throughout the country at a more comfortable wage level. At current wages, 130-165 added. Retention issues would drop fast.
@MrAurora_@liltiddybighart@fuckyouiquit Most have. As a manager in a LARGE company that is paid below the average pay range for my area and for the actual value I provide, I am aware that my company has made more during Covid, but has also frozen all raises. I am certain top positions are exempt from that freeze.
@kidzwithbugz Tape & command strips wear out over time. Nails do not. And when you're done, patching nail holes is really easy. You will need to touch up the paint, but there's no guarantee you won't have to with tape or command strips. I've seen both rip off sections of paint.
