@JonahDispatch I am OK with wealth gain. I am very OK with capitalism. However, I want our taxation scheme to keep up with changes in wealth and income, the disparity of which has widened substantially. I want opportunity for all. Increasing wealth inequality hinders opportunity for all.
@SirMichaelCian1 Kudos to Governor Mills for being an effective governor of her state. But, part of being a good executive is grooming successor candidates. She should not have run, because she should have spent the last couple years shining a light on those that could.
@baseballcrank Compare President Obama’s character to Ken Paxton’s. If you are struggling to answer or working your “whatabouts”, then no, you do not care about character at all.
@chaos9074@JeffPassan Is anyone limiting your salary? If your boss likes your work and wants to pay you more, should there be any constraint on you (and your co-workers)? I say: No.
@JillFilipovic Actually, no. To quote my favorite rock band: “If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.” Easy for me as I will not vote in Maine, nor give any money to either candidate. A voter could reasonably under-vote the race or write-in a candidate. It is not binary.
@EWErickson Why don’t you invite Mr. Talarico on to your show for a thoughtful discussion of the issues of the day? It is seriously past time for you to look in the mirror. Is Ken Paxton really the type of character and government servant your Lord and savior calls you to support?
@Triphammer111@EWErickson I didn’t say you couldn’t say it. I said it was not advancing your argument. I stand by the comment. Who are “my kind”? Do you know much about me? I don’t appreciate the suggestion that I am destroying the country. I hope you can find more joy in life.
@Triphammer111@EWErickson I did in 2020. I voted for Dean Philips in the Illinois Democratic primary in 2024 because of President Biden. Your use of expletives and vulgarity do not enhance whatever argument you are making.
@JonahDispatch You recognize the difference, right? Ms. Rojas and Ms. Weissbrot are nimcompoops who, hopefully, will grow out of this nonsense. They will never be elected to anything. Now, start with the President and work your way down with the grossness on the right. See what I mean?
@politicalmath You are 100% correct. Almost all Americans feel the same way about Ms. Rojas and Ms. Weissbrot, who will never win an election. The same comment about should be cast out of a decent society applies to….our current President who received over 75M votes.
