From the preview I'm concerned that use of "excess deaths" is incorrect. Whilst the 2020 age-standardised mortality rate deteriorated to a level last seen in 2008, the rate of deterioration against previous 5 yrs (excess) was worst since 1951.

Any mention of long covid?
