@SuperScienceGrl @FGWay1 Building regs allows changing of sockets and installing spurs. I'd take the plate off, test with a mains testing screwdriver then flip the socket circuit off at the breaker & see if it is still live. You're not allowed (by building regs) to install a socket on a different circuit
