Congratulations to our very own Maria Healy for winning a prize for her talk at the recent DYME meeting in Southampton. Fantastic work and well done!!!
The group had a wonderful time participating in the DYME meeting in Southampton last week. Thanks to all the organisers for putting on such an outstanding event for early career chemists! @OxfordChemistry
An exciting collaboration with @deRuiterLabs and @Aromaticist, a few years in the making. Aryl-aryl cross-couplings with iron can proceed via radical pathways using a PCP pincer supporting ligand.

We're hiring ! 1 PhD position in @ChimieParisTech to study redox-active nitrene complexes of Earth-abundant metals (Fe, Co) and applications in catalysis - ERC CoG SATURN 🪐- starting from Feb. 2026. RT appreciated ! Applications by DM. @CNRSchimie
A wonderful Christmas celebration with a talented group of chemists! So grateful to this group for all their hard work and looking forward to a wonderful 2026!
Congratulations to Alexis Bauer for passing her PhD defense yesterday! Started in Rochester, moved with the group to Oxford and did some outstanding iron (and uranium) chemistry along the way. Thanks to Simon Aldridge (Oxford) and Bill Jones (Rochester) for doing the honours.
Congratulations to our very own Maria Healy for winning the inorganic poster prize at the recent OxWiChem day showcasing the research of women in chemistry @OxfordChemistry
In addition, we will have some further fully funded DPhil positions as part of the normal DPhil application process (https://t.co/xRsNzxe25k). Note these positions are for UK/home fees students only. Please apply by the January deadline and contact Mike for any questions.
Second, we have a cool project on Pushing the Boundaries of Low-Valent Earth-Abundant Organometallics for Chemical Synthesis together with my colleague at Oxford Tim Donohoe as part of the IMAT CDT. The application window is now open (https://t.co/wmU1SsHzCT)
Exciting DPhil opportunities in the Neidig group at Oxford for 2026. First up, we have a fun project as part of the CSHP CDT on Base-Metal Catalysed Enatioselective Construction of Quaternary Carbon Stereocenters with J&J. Application deadline 14 Nov (https://t.co/s1iTqN2KQr)
The last stop on the tour of Spain was today in Alcala. Had a wonderful time travelling the country over the past two weeks. It truly is a special place for organometallic chemistry. Looking forward to many return trips in the future.
Had a wonderful visit to Valladolid yesterday. Thanks Ana for being such a wonderful host and to all the students for their excellent questions. A lot of fun!
Talk 4 of the GEQO lecture tour took me to Castellon and Universitat Jaume I for a wonderful day of meetings with students and faculty. Thanks to Eduardo Peris for being such a gracious host and for the excellent paella!
Now reporting with @Aromaticist in @angew_chem. A combined computational and experimental study into Iron Catalyzed Alkene Metathesis!
All Open Acces!!
