Very dangerous for the rest of us if the US and China get into even more of a debt-fuelled growth race. The US has the advantage of the global currency and China of a protected capital and financial system dominated by large state owned banks, but the rest of the world is far more vulnerable. In this area as in others what is needed is de-escalation and regard for global citizenship, not intensified egotistical supremacy-seeking rivalry.
