Its getting interesting: Trump reportedly plans to host Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei for a private White House dinner on Sunday, after months of tensions with his administration.

Axios says it would be their first one-on-one meeting. Trump personally invited Amodei after he missed last week’s state dinner due to a scheduling conflict.

It sounds like the main point is that there won't be a slowdown under Trump, and that this will be a topic of conversation. Axios:

I don't know how Anthropic pulled this off, but I need to look into it: not only is Opus 5.5 an incredibly good model, but the rates are also incredibly good; Opus now appears to be an outstandingly efficient model.

Makes you wonder how much more efficient sonnet 5.5 will be.

As far as we know, Sonnet 5.5 is launching next week.

It represents the next challenge to OpenAI - specifically, to GPT-6-Sol. From what we can see, Sonnet 5.5 is not only very affordable but also outstanding; it could well become for GPT-Astra what Opus 5.5 was: a more efficient and presumably more intelligent model.

Anthropic is absolutely back! (And Minimax-M3.1 is also coming)
