Kimi K3 Standard’s first shot at my indie spaceship game!

Without a shadow of a doubt, this is better than GPT-5.5’s first pass. It’s crazy that we already have an open-source model in the GPT-5.5 to GPT-5.6 class.

The estimated API cost for this was just $2.50 worth of tokens.

Fable 5: $22
GPT-5.5: $14

I will say that Fable 5 made the game look more visually impressive, but the gap is not that large. I think I could easily get Kimi to match its visual quality within a few iterations.

What surprised me most was that Kimi’s version felt much more cohesive and coherent, with fewer bugs than GPT-5.5’s.

third pass on my spaceship demo it added openable cabinets and lockers with stuff actually inside them, sittable chairs, a holographic star map at the desk, tintable windows rounded out furniture, and more!

Not to mention full 3D exterior of the ship you can orbit around!

This is genuinely mind blowing and people have already adjusted to what AI can do so fast, but this was literally impossible to do 3 months ago.
