Name one country, any country, that would go along with a MOU or deal preventing or conditioning its ability to defend itself against a massive terrorist force on its border firing missiles and drones into its towns and cities. Name one. And it has to get permission to defend itself or not strike too hard in response to imminent or actual terror attacks? And for what? A promise by a terrorist regime that funds terror proxies and seeks to annihilate it that it will comply with a paper agreement, for the first time in its existence, to abandon its ideological ambitions? Even now, if I understand what's in play, we are stating that we can always resort to military action if Iran does not honor its obligations. If Iran fires missiles at our bases and armed forces in the region, or if we think it will do so, what will we do? What did we do? We hammered the regime. After having been accused falsely and repeatedly of committing genocide in Gaza, despite the repeated reports and now subsequent reports that this was simply not true, today Israel is accused of blowing up buildings in Lebanon and being too aggressive. Hezbollah, which uses the same tactics as Hamas and the other Iranian regime terror proxies, may literally become a protectorate of sorts? I sure as hell hope I am misreading and mishearing things. If there is confusion it is due to the withholding of the MOU and publicly stated comments, not to those of us who can see and hear.
I don't blame the President for taking a few days to think about this -- that is, the initial deal with the Iranian regime his negotiators brought to him.
I understand why the Iranian regime agreed to this: according to reports, "in return for the commitments to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and forswear nuclear weapons development, the U.S. would release frozen Iranian funds and open discussions about sanctions relief, as well as enter discussions on a mechanism to permit Iran to receive humanitarian aid and other needed goods."
So, frozen funds are immediately released (that's billions of dollars), sanctions relief are on the horizon, as is "humanitarian" aid (to a regime that slaughters its own people). That's a huge infusion of billions into Iran, in addition to the regime returning to shipping oil, all of which will fund the IRGC and the rest of the police state -- and you can be sure that's where most of the money will go. And no word about ballistic missiles, which is absolutely crucial, and nothing about the brutality against the people.
There needs to be a lot more details to understand exactly what has been negotiated here to warrant a massive infusion of funds back into the regime in exchange for talking another 60 days. They won't pursue nukes in the meantime? I thought we would hit them militarily if they were. And they'll reopen the Strait, so the regime closing it was leveraged by them to get us to the negotiation table?
We are removing the economic and military pressure with only the threat that either or both could resume. Why not force concessions before lifting economic pressure? If they wouldn't agree then how serious is the regime about making substantive and lasting concessions?
I don't blame the President for taking a few days to think about this, if this report is accurate. And enforcement, given the nature and history of this terrorist regime, whatever the final terms may be, will be impossible (certainly after the Trump presidency).

Qatar is the enemy. Period. Full stop. Yet another example of that damnable monarchy paying to brainwash our children. This is pure evil.

While politicians in Washington debate negotiations and brag about strikes, Iranians are the ones paying in blood, executions, torture, internet blackouts, and ruined lives.
The Islamic Republic should not survive one more time because the world once again chose appeasement over ending the Islamic regime for the sake of all humanity.

Thank you for conveying the voice of the Iranian people to them with the utmost precision. With or without them, we will reclaim our country from the claws of evil.
This will be a lasting disgrace for Europe, a stain that will never be erased. Not only did they fail to help improve conditions or advance the freedom of the Iranian people, they actively worked to sustain this octopus of terror and insecurity and enabled it to continue its crimes.
Today it is clear to everyone. They are openly siding with the Islamic Republic and the slaughter of the Iranian people. All their expressions of sympathy and so called condemnations are nothing but hollow human rights posturing. When it truly mattered, they lined up to offer respect to these killers by nature and shook hands stained with blood.
Whether or not Europe stands with us, whether or not your journalists do their jobs, whether or not your politicians demonstrate the courage to act, I will fight for my people and my country.
I was pleased to be at the Italian Chamber of Deputies to meet with a cross-party delegation of MPs.
We discussed the moral responsibility Italy and Europe have to back Iranians' demand for human rights, religious freedom, Internet access, and an end to the Islamic Republic.
