Unimaginable heat in China 🇨🇳
The longevity and intensity of the heatwave is hard to comprehend. Too many heat records to count, both day and night.
Beibei hit 45°C for two consecutive and some places not falling below 34°C at night.
The heat is ongoing...
We applaud today’s announcement by @EPA to #cutmethane! 👏🏻
“While there is much work to do to reduce carbon, protect landscapes that store carbon naturally, and invest in renewables, addressing methane is crucial to our shared survival.” @audubonsociety https://t.co/EnsHpAOdWE
It takes courage to pass monumental clean energy legislation like this. Take a moment to thank Governor Whitmer & your state legislators for helping to protect vulnerable birds. https://t.co/mf8arMBAq8
We’re in Detroit to celebrate as Michigan makes a historic move to reach 100% carbon-free energy by 2040! @GovWhitmer’s signing of the #CleanEnergyFuturePackage today will help protect Michigan birds like the Black Tern, that are at-risk from #climatechange.
Climate change is threatening the places that Michigan birds rely on. Yesterday, Detroit residents gathered for Birds and Brews, to hear from local leaders and policy experts on the steps we can all take to protect Michigan’s birds and people: https://t.co/EHVhn3ROYp
Now is a critical time to enact wetlands protections. Yesterday, 100 Audubon members joined us and @AmosButler in Indianapolis for Birds and Brews to learn how we can protect the important habitat that birds depend on! https://t.co/kYf16YF9jV
Join us in Cleveland this October for @HealthyLakes' 2023 #GreatLakes Conference, to discuss and connect on the biggest issues impacting our region, and the steps we can take to protect birds and communities!
Yesterday’s introduction of HB 197, a Community Solar Pilot initiative in Ohio, will help combat #climatechange to protect people and birds like the Scarlet Tanager. This initiative would consist of 1,500 megawatts of community solar, enough energy to power almost 300,000 homes!
Birds are not partisan and protecting them shouldn't be either - Birding draws tens of thousands of visitors to Ohio while generating over $40 Billion in economic impact annually- thank you @RepMarcyKaptur and @boblatta for celebrating all that they bring to #Ohio@BiggestWeek
Honored to introduce a bipartisan resolution with @BobLatta to proclaim May 5-May 14 as “National American Birding Week." I hope our fellow Ohioans join us in celebrating an important event that brings avid birders from around the world to our region of NW Ohio every single year.
It’s the @BiggestWeek in American Birding! To the 90,000+ birders joining us in NW Ohio for the annual migration—have a chirping good time, don’t do anything ill-eagle, and enjoy the im-peck-able shores of Lake Erie.
Today, Audubon members flocked to the Wisconsin State Capitol to advocate for wetlands protections and climate friendly policies that will benefit Wisconsin's birds and communities for generations to come. #AGLAdvocacyDay

We’re in DC at #GreatLakesDay to advocate for the continued protection of the Great Lakes, including full funding of the #GreatLakes Restoration Initiative, which has done amazing work for birds and communities across our region. @HealthyLakes https://t.co/4yTU4dGv95
