@docneto Agree with everything except being mandatory for doctors. If we apply said logic to doctors, then you have to apply same to teachers. Many remote areas rely on corp members for primary and secondary education.
This will start the same cycle. Just make it voluntary for all.
@Morris_Monye Random…. But thinking about how “Quadrillion” will become part of global vocabulary soon. Like 10^15 . Growing up, anything after billion (which itself was rarely used) was considered uncountable .
@korejay With all things economics, there’s always an alternative use case. The excess deposit could be placed in an investment that will cover the additional interest payments to the bank.
Never a one size fits all.
@hedrees_ayinde I’ll not bet against technology, particularly with time as a factor. I like your use of “anytime soon”.
And maybe the job title (Technical acct, or CFO) will always remain but the requirement and expectation will evolve.
Spreadsheets changed the expectations of an accountant.
@TosinOlugbenga Random but anytime I hear lending business , I remember Bankole’s statement on Afrobility… “ It’s easy to give out loans, anyone can give out loans, the problem is getting your money back/ recovery “
@AskMichaelTaiwo Reflects the state of America vs the rest of the world (particularly Europe) when it comes to pay and value creation.
You’ll see the same thing across different industries
@NaijaFlyingDr Brilliant and timely piece Dr!
- Particularly enjoyed the point about politics being seen as the ultimate ambition. People are drawn to what is perceived as “cool”.
- The Lebanese system also reminds me of the Igbo apprenticeship model. Need some more scale.
@Ssaasquatch This is a master class!
- Educate the masses on the pattern . Start global, then localize.
- Drop evidence with names
- Don’t burn bridges . Clearing MoneyAfrica was good.
- Weave into a story.
I’m normally one to advocate for 2 sides of a story but damn… Weldone “Jake Jones”
@TechnicalBben Emotions aside. You use the infrastructure of the government. If you reside in Nigeria, then you probably use the roads, and rely on the security.
The quality of the infrastructure is a different conversation.
