Taking a stand against pervasive misogyny in TV storytelling. We tweet about harmful TV tropes, intersectional feminism, and inciting change. #MarsAgainstMis
What do I know about the lack of Latino representation in TV/film?
I speak Spanish. When people found out, they made me do more Spanish interviews than English because they thought THAT was how you got Latinos. I fought against it because what I write/perform is in English...
Another stellar @BitchMedia piece. @BlkGirlManifest examines the longevity of Law and Order: #SVU and how the show has both missed the mark and succeeded with its storytelling over the last 20 years, particularly when representing marginalized people. #MarsAgainstMis
On the show’s historic 20th anniversary (and before its 21st season), I decided to put my stan status to use & explore how @nbcsvu has lasted so long, continuing to resonate with its fan base.
My latest, for @BitchMedia https://t.co/Q6dq9lumFQ
One of our #MarsAgainstMis team members has just finished the first season of @QueenSugarOWN and says the show is phenomenal. It's definitely going on our list of TV show recommendations. Are any of our followers fans of the series? #QueenSugar#QueenSugarOWN
As an Indian woman, I am always grateful @mindykaling simply exists. Especially when I watch something like #LateNight
Also, it’s on Prime, so you should definitely watch it right now

@joeyannetts You are mistaken. We are building a list of TV recommendations, not telling people what they can and cannot watch. Feel free to unfollow, mute, and/or block us if you do not understand or like what our movement is trying to do. #MarsAgainstMis

@MarsAgainstMis I wanted a lot of what I felt like was advertised to me: a mystery I couldn't guess before episode 1, LoVe in a committed stable relationship, and Veronica getting to go to some well deserved therapy. Pretty sure that holds up
Therapy was central to Kate Beckett’s storyline and development in Castle, too. Therapy is interesting storytelling, and featuring it on TV shows helps to normalize therapy and mental illness in real life. #MarsAgainstMis
@MarsAgainstMis Everyone actually being able to have open communication with each other. Logan continue his growth by working on himself having a stable career and Veronica working while also feeling like she could let go of her baggage. Wallace having more air time in general
