Cindy and I were thrilled to spot this magnificent buffalo during our visit to Badlands National Park Saturday. We sat quietly in the car as it slowly approached, then paused to give us a curious look before crossing the road and continuing on its way. What an unforgettable experience!
FYI - Cindy used the zoom on her phone to capture this photo, so the buffalo wasn’t nearly as close as it appears. We made sure to keep a safe distance.
motorcyclist got way too close to me, so i rammed into him and knocked him over. then he tried to get it back up, so i did it again. had to remind him whose forest this is.
Happy Father's Day to all of you great men. I don't have children, but I gotta tell you how much it warms my heart to hear how your families are doing well. Continue to be an example of strength, leadership, and protection in a world that seems to have forgotten what that means. And remember that little things mean everything.
My Dad has been dead for 6 years this September, and I'm not exaggerating when I say that I think of him everyday. I've never met a harder working and more honorable man than him.
Take some time today and appreciate what you've built.
If you only learn 3 knots for the woods, start here:
• Bowline
• Two Half Hitches
• Trucker's Hitch
A fixed loop, a tie-off, and a tensioning system will handle a huge percentage of outdoor tasks.
