Sophomore guard Walker Gohring followed up his fantastic freshman year by leading us in scoring, assists and total rebounds. Great to see his talent and hard work recognized by the conference coaches. Congratulations Walker!
Sophomore Sean LaRose being named to the @SLIAC All-Sportsmanship Team is fitting for the guy that exemplifies what it is to be a Blue Jay. His hard work and dedication is unquestioned and he is one of the best teammates around! Congratulations Sean!
We knew when he committed that Jamile was special on & off the court! He showed it in a big way this year. He anchored our defense that improved 9 points per game this season! He shot 59% from the field as a true freshman. Congratulations on this well deserved honor!

The @SLIAC announced that freshman men’s basketball player Walker Gohring was named the Newcomer of the Year. Gohring is the 2nd ever Blue Jay to win the award after Cory Roper was the first to win it in the 1998-1999 season.

“I’m letting the team down because I turned the ball over, I’m letting the team down because I missed a shot…
No, you’re letting the team down when it parlays into 4-5 possessions after that.”
3 years ago when MacMurray College closed I was not sure if I would ever coach again. The last 3 years at Westminster College have been amazing and now today I am back as a head coach of some amazing young men!🏀 Season starts today! #BlueJays#LetsFly
