She still going! Stonechat ringed as Violet over White by East Kent Wildlife Group has reached 5 years 25 days since ringing and has followed her usual pattern of summering at @SamphireHoe1997 and wintering who knows where?
“Sorry but you can’t park there!” Car floats towards #Poole Harbour Chain Ferry this afternoon after coming off the slipway at #Sandbanks. Multi agency response from @rnli@PooleLifeboats@dorsetpolice and @PooleHarbourC
This female stonechat who is part of a colour ringing project with the #samphirehoe and the East Kent Wildife Group is now into her 7th calendar year. An unusually good age for a stonechat.
I finally caught up with the Glaucous Gull at Shakespeare Beach this afternoon which showed to ridiculously close distances. Also a Turnstone when the sun came out and my first Wheatear of the year.
