It was deeply moving to celebrate Mass at Mullaharlin Mass Rock outside #Dundalk for feast of #StOliverPlunkett. In times of harsh persecution, these Mass rocks were secret, sacred places where people gathered, often at risk, to keep the faith alive. #FaithOfOurFathers
Our sincere thanks to Bishop Kevin Doran and @ArchbishopEamon Martin for celebrating the beautiful Mass for Life in Saint Malachy’s Church, Belfast. We were blessed by your presence and witness of faith, and grateful to have you join us at the Rally for Life, Liberty & Faith in Belfast, where we stood together as a strong voice for unborn babies and their mothers.🙏🏻

God our Father,
you filled Saint Oliver with the spirit of fortitude,
enabling him to feed your people with his word
and to lay down his life for the faith;
at his intercession
keep us strong in that same faith
and help us to proclaim it everywhere.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
God, for ever and ever.
"I am overjoyed at the thought of coming to Arundel and Brighton, getting to know the people, and working together to build God's Kingdom." - Bishop-elect Stephen Wang

Sts. Processus and Martinian were Roman soldiers who served as jailers in the prison where St. Peter and St. Paul were held. Through the teaching and miracles of the Apostles, they were converted to Christianity and baptized. After receiving faith in Christ, they courageously helped the Apostles.
When they refused to deny their faith and worship pagan gods, they were arrested, tortured, and finally martyred around the year 67. Throughout their suffering, they remained faithful, proclaiming: “Blessed be the name of the Lord!” Their witness inspired many Christians, and their relics were later honored in Rome.
Prayer:
Sts. Processus and Martinian, faithful witnesses of Christ, pray for us that we may remain strong in faith and courageous in every trial. Amen.

St. Oliver Plunkett was born in Ireland in 1625. He studied for the priesthood in Rome and was ordained in 1654. During a time of severe persecution, he was appointed Archbishop of Armagh in 1669 and returned to Ireland to strengthen the faith of the people.
He travelled throughout his diocese, confirming thousands of people, reforming the clergy, and caring for the poor. Falsely accused of treason, he was arrested and brought to England. Despite suffering imprisonment and an unjust trial, he remained faithful to Christ and the Church. He was martyred by hanging, drawing, and quartering at Tyburn, London, on 1 July 1681.
St. Oliver Plunkett was canonized by Pope Paul VI in 1975 and is remembered as the last Catholic martyr of England.
Prayer:
St. Oliver Plunkett, faithful shepherd and courageous martyr, pray for us that we may remain strong in faith and faithful to Christ in every trial. Amen.
