Mr. Sanjay thanked @KiryowaKk for the good working relationship between the bank and @MoJCAUG in particular and @GovUganda at large, whereas @KiryowaKk promised to keep his open day policy in order to smoothen further, the working relations between @StanChartUGA and @GovUganda
Attorney General @KiryowaKk this morning hosted Mr. Sanjay Rugani, Chief Executive Officer of @StanChartUGA in the @MoJCAUG boardroom.

Parliament was informed that in 2023, Attorney General, @KiryowaKk Kiwanuka's team won cases worth Shs1.278Trn, having represented Government in 2,526 cases in Courts of law, Tribunals and Commissions.
Of these, 153 cases were concluded and 112 cases worth UGX 1.278Trn were won, while 41 cases worth UGX11.990Bn were lost. Parliament also okayed the request for additional Shs11.407Bn for the recruitment of State Attorneys so as to match the capacity of the Judiciary.
The Ministry of Justice argues that the low staffing level leads to ineffective representation of government on cases for and against the Attorney General resulting into court awards against government.
