@doniveson In Canada, there's an estimated 250,000 people living with Hepatitis C (HCV), up to 44% of those infected don’t know they have it. Spreading awareness of this public health issue is key in decreasing the yearly 400,000 deaths caused by the effects of chronic HCV.
This year World Hepatitis Day 2019 will be held again on Sunday, July 28th, from 11 am - 5 pm, at West Edmonton Mall Central Stage.
Come out and let's find the "missing millions" together!

Eliminating the stigma & acknowledging the growing issue surrounding mental health on campus is a start. However, providing students with better coping strategies & more on campus resources designed to eliminate student's sense of disconnect needs to be prioritized first.#PLLC1A
University is a stressful environment where "one slip could define your future". Canadian institutions need stop responding reactively towards mental health issues on campus and instead need to put all their efforts towards proactive solutions by implementing adaptive resources.
The challenge of empowering women is not well defined, nor quick to fix, it
can't be solved through technical "known hows". It's an adaptive challenge requiring a shift in perception via transformative learning and constant collaboration between leaders and stakeholders. #PLLC1A
Something powerful happens when you ask a woman to tell her story.
And sometimes, the most powerful statement of support we can offer to a woman is the one we make by listening.
This #IWD2019, here’s what that means to me. https://t.co/hDxx8WOeeZ
Misinformation, such as the one about vaccines, endangers us all. By stooping the spread of false vaccine claims we limit miscommunication and in turn terminate anti vaxxers' persuasion efforts in labeling vaccines as "harmful"; resulting in less ambiguity for the public .PLLC#1A

As detailed in project Aristotle, employing dependability among team members produces accountability by instilling trust and structure. However,
missing in this analysis is the acknowledgment of core values, which is what leaders use to bring individuals`s focus together.#PLLC1A
Google analyzed data from executives, team leads and team members to determine the key dynamics of what makes a successful team. Here's what they found: https://t.co/DR5XCj6mD5
The case of Mr. Phillips & Mr. Sandmann is a key example of the dark side of emotional intelligence. Mainstream publications are running this story with out investigating both sides of the situation, wrongfully employing their self-serving motives to manipulate the public.#PLLC1A
Implicit schemas and attitudes that promote cumulative stereotyping are the most common forms of bias within a society and the only way we can remove these barriers is by promoting diversity, especially among less known but equally important categories, such as body shape.#PLLC1A
There's one type of workplace diversity we don't often talk about: Body size.
Research shows that the higher their body mass index, the more likely an employee is to be stereotyped as "lazy, unmotivated, unintelligent, sloppy and lacking willpower." https://t.co/3OSXdW5M3W
News outlets are in constant battle over viewer ratings, always searching for ways to out compete their rivals. Hence, the presence of a built-in bias has become increasingly popular as a method to exploit viewers' primitive emotions; thus, affect their critical thinking. #PLLC1A
@CristinaStasia https://t.co/5aUoVXADPQ Here is a current event where I can see built-in bias. After reading the article I understand the community's protests, as this closure will result in job loss. However, the world is pushing for sectors to implement more renewable energy policies.
