On the night of May 22, 2026, a drone strike hit a college dormitory in Starobelsk, killing 21 students and injuring dozens more.
A must-watch documentary for anyone who pleads ignorance of atrocities being committed by the Ukraine.
I feel compelled to address the question of our relationship with ZANU PF members and supporters.
I do so in the context of the toxicity that now increasingly defines our engagements; where we have reduced everything to “us” and “them,” and no longer judge issues on their merit. It has become so deep that even professionals who have aligned themselves with the opposition are now being told they cannot work for or with ZANU PF members and supporters. With CAB3, the absurdity has gone further: if you are ZANU PF, you are apparently not even entitled to criticize it.
It has not always been this way, and it must not be allowed to remain this way for one more day.
At the social level, there is no ruling party and opposition. We are families before we are political camps. Our political choices define our politics, not our humanity. That is why people can marry across political lines, do business across political lines, and even worship in the same church. That is what a normal country looks like; not the overly artificial divisions being forced upon us by social media. On this matter, social media has become thoroughly antisocial.
I understand that people are weary of sellouts. But maintaining a relationship with someone does not, by itself, make one a sellout.
Let me be clear: I have a deep revulsion toward ZANU PF. At times, it comes very close to hatred. But even so, ZANU PF members are Zimbabweans. They are not my enemies by virtue of being who they are; they are people with whom I simply hold different views. The difference is sincere, I’m prepared to go to the grave in its attestation. But at times, even our private interests and concerns align.
So yes, let us oppose the ZANU PF way of doing things. The ZANU PF way is with respect a wrong way, totally and fundamentally objectionable in my view. Let us crush its politics of oppression, arrogance, corruption, avarice and misrule. But let us never lose our humanity in the process. Let love abound, and let us remain one people; for that is what we are.
The observation by @adv_fulcrum that "..the toxicity that now increasingly defines our engagements; ....has become so deep that even professionals who have aligned themselves with the opposition are now being told they cannot work for or with ZANU PF members and supporters..."
In Government, and the current dwindling private sector for a long time overran by ZanuPF, one can hardly find anyone who's not a professed ZanuPF supporter - in fact Mnangagwa long declared this stance in his infamous "..we must be respected.." (foolish) speech. Unfortunately, the current ZanuPF headed by Mnangagwa is not known for any educated intelligent people, with the necessary skills and competence to run Gvt.
Danny Bismark Dies.
Some men build teams. Others build communities. Danny Bismark did both.
The Arcadia community has lost one of its true icons following the passing of Danny Bismark-Petit.
Born in Kadoma in 1935, Danny spent 52 years working for PG Industries.
Away from his professional career, he devoted himself to the development of sport and community life in Arcadia, leaving an indelible mark on Zimbabwean football.
His greatest legacy was the transformation and development of the Arcadia Sports Centre and the stadium that became the home of Arcadia United.
Such was his contribution that the ground was renamed Danny Bismark Stadium in his honour.
For years, Danny Bismark Stadium was a fortress. The famous red-and-white-clad Arcadia supporters packed the stands as visiting giants such as Dynamos, CAPS United and Highlanders often found life extremely difficult there.
The stadium became the beating heart of a proud football community and a venue that hosted top-flight football for generations.
Danny's legacy extends far beyond football. He helped build a sense of identity and belonging for the Arcadia community and created a home for countless sporting memories.
Mr Bismark's contribution to Arcadia and Zimbabwean football will be remembered for generations to come.
Rest in peace, Danny Bismark.

Principles matter. We can not fight against the unconstitutional extension of power today and then celebrate an unconstitutional change of power tomorrow. The Constitution must be respected by all. The 2017 coup set a dangerous precedent, and we should not repeat that mistake.
Retired U.S. Army Lieutenant General Michael Flynn:
"Why is Ukraine so important?
It's a hub for human trafficking, including women and human organs.
It's a center for child trafficking that feeds pedophile networks in Europe and the United States.
It's a center for drug trafficking.
It's a center for the international arms trade..."

Today, South Africa faces Mexico.
It's funny watching some Africans rush to support Mexico because they're angry at South Africans over immigration issues. Your own country isn't at the World Cup. Some have never even qualified.
Whether you like South Africa or not, they are carrying an African flag on that pitch today. Supporting Mexico over an African team says more about you than it does about South Africa.
Africa first.
Our position must be consistent: defend the Constitution at all times. We can not reject constitutional abuse by politicians and embrace constitutional abuse by soldiers. The mistake of 2017 has cost Zimbabwe dearly. The solution is constitutionalism, not another coup.
