Would it surprise you to learn that it's not all that uncommon for people in Manitoba to be rushed out of hospital ASAP following their surgery and basically just dumped into the street, with little regard for their immediate health & safety?

It's all very depressing. Seriously thought that our system was better than this, but evidently not, according to one exasperated social worker that I spoke w/ the other day. The only "resources" they can offer are lists of shelters and hotels. No assistance whatsoever otherwise.

Not sure if this is a consequence of Pallister government’s massive health care overhaul, as it’s honestly not a subject I’ve been familiar with up to now. May be something to look into if it hasn't already been reported to death by the local media.

@Jason_E_King @AlexanderQuon @GurratanSingh Ha. That's a good point about PR. Certainly could help facilitate a lot of very hateful groups to get a toehold in parliament that would otherwise be largely impossible to them.
