About 13 years ago, when President Uhuru Kenyatta named his side of the Cabinet. His first announcement and choice was the then little known Dr. Fred Matiang’i in the ICT ministry. Daktari was fished from the State University of New York where he was serving as the Executive Director. From here, the man delivered digital migration and internet connectivity throughout the country grew in heaps and bounds.

Today, he's vying for the top seat and he has one agenda: Fix the mess in the country and have our systems running for the people.

Sometimes I ask myself why Uhuru settled on the Son of Nyansiongo? Some Kikuyus have also wondered if there was no Kikuyu leader who he could have appointed!.
Uhuru in his 10 years tenure saw a man who could transform a country not just in Kikuyu land but for the benefit of entire Nation.
He saw a man who fought media cartels to transform this country from analogue to digital media.
He saw a man who for the first time declared parents should not pay exam fees.
He saw a man who streamlined Education system with precision.
He saw a no nonsense leader who dealt with criminals in interior docket ruthlessly I.e confirm terror group in Nakuru!
Kenyans who will vote 2027 can confirm all this!

Our young people must have open and unlimited space to access leaders and engage them on how to get Kenya working again.

I encouraged them to move beyond the outdated notion that they are merely the leaders of tomorrow, and to take up the responsibility of shaping their country today.
