#politicslive Contrary to your guest’s assertion that no worker will see increased employers NI, those paid via umbrella companies will. It is deducted from the amount the umbrella is paid and itemised on the worker’s payslip as a deduction before gross pay.
@HelenMorganMP@LibDems@RichardFoordLD Helen, by hard working MP, do you mean he might reply to or even acknowledge his hard working constituents’ letters? I wrote to you mid January and have heard nothing despite a second letter. Maybe switching at to #LibDems at the by-election wasn’t such a good move after all?
@helenhalcrow Hi Helen, it is annoying to be refused a meeting in such a way. Much worse to get no reply from at all. As one of your constituents, I have written to you three times without reply. If you feel problems should not be ignored, then maybe you should set an example?
@AnnaMarieDesign @BobFirtree @parasolgroup I know. I resigned via the portal on Christmas Eve but have had no email or communication confirming my last day or anything really. P45 option on portal is empty. My new umbrella (SmartWork) has the’New Starter Checklist’ I referred to, completed yesterday so fingers crossed
@BobFirtree @AnnaMarieDesign @parasolgroup Doug Crawford’s email of last Friday says they do not intend sending P45s to people after 11th January. Although a legal requirement to do so, there I can’t see a clear time limit. New employer may have a ‘New starter checklist’ HMRC recognised and will do the job
@MattPotter The way Parasol have treated freelancers is disgraceful. We should not forget that companies like Parasol have only been allowed to flourish due to the ill thought out off-payroll (IR35) legislation. Please DM me if of interest for your piece.
@itcontracting@parasolgroup Hi bit of a positive spin on the situation if I may so so.
Yes, the portal is encouraging timesheet entry (money in), but no information on the portal as to when they will pay their ‘employees’, many of whom have been waiting for weeks
@RFrewin@parasolgroup@BBCNews@bbc5live Shocking that thousands are completely in the dark as to whether they will ever get paid for the work they are doing and continue to do. @BBCNews@bbc5live, this is a direct consequence of the government’s off-payroll legislation. This situation could not have occurred before
@BenPilbeam@parasolgroup Pop up message on portal imploring people to input timesheets (generates money in for Parasol), but no info.on overdue pay (money going out) What should we conclude from this in terms of Parasol’s priorities?
@jonnoweb@BenPilbeam @mayditchweb @parasolgroup I really don’t understand this approach. Very sorry for Parasol’s staff who will be inundated with calls from unhappy contractors and agencies again today. Senior management could have taken some of that pressure off by providing a status update over the weekend. #stillnotpaid
@parasolgroup Thanks for restoring some service, however your "email me a copy" function for payslips etc is not working. The PDF printed ones from portal don't have our name. Please switch your outbound email server on etc. These are needed for mortgage applications.
@ZaqsTech Lots not been paid I think, and even those that have, have only been paid a fraction of what they are owed. 30% in my case. Parasol’s updates say ‘many people have received payments but they don’t say how many or how much.
@PhalangeAngie@StuddartLisa Thanks, I didn’t get that email. The text seems to suggest that they believe that everyone has received at least some of their money which isn’t true in my case and I suspect many others. Perhaps that is why I wasn’t on the email distribution list 🙂
@GleannIucha @DuctileInvestor @parasolgroup@_Harry_Brennan_ Hi, what emails are these? I haven’t seen anything since the one from the CEO last Thursday. Not seen any money either 😔
