Usually optimistic environmentalist. Ex Friends of the Earth/10:10/Energy Bill Revolution/ACE. Now trying a different kind of conservation with classic cars.
I'm not deleting my account as it is handy for complaints and the occasional old mate getting in touch.
But now that's all it is useful for, if I ever have anything I think is worth saying it'll be on bluesky - details in bio above.
@richbevan0370@VodafoneUK I'm hoping the fact the router has no lights on it will make this straightforward - but only if I can actually contact them. How did you manage to get a call through?
Wondering whether to bang my head on a wall or get hold of @vodafoneuk for a replacement router as mine is faulty.
A new router would be helpful but hitting my head on a wall is more likely to be successful.
@bbcnews please make sure you stop saying UK Steel makers will "keep paying" the tariffs (as on the 7 o'clock news on @BBCr4today just now.
Tariffs are paid by the importer. This is shoddy work.
"Ten commonnest birds in UK" lists like the one just mentioned on @BBCr4today rarely agree perfectly, but they never feature pheasants. Yet 40-50 million are released into the wild every year
Sparrows, wrens, wood pigeons and other table toppers tend to be around 10 million.
Not one Government Minister has called Trump thick or deranged a wanker, despite endless goading by @BBCr4today interviewers.
Any chance we could try a different approach @BBCNews?
@AArmstrong_says@ryangibsonuk That may all be so, but the money people invested in wind farms/solar parks to cut bills were not investing in Ripple themselves but in separate companies set up to operate those generation assets. Those companies are not in administration so the investments are not affected.
@_LimeAID@limebike I've repeatedly reported problems to you, this is the first time I've had a response.
I love the idea of shared bikes but Lime can't run an effective system. From bike locks that don't work to geofencing that doesn't do what local councils say it will. Improve or get shut down.
Good service on the Elizabeth Line according to @Tfl. Yet at Chadwell Heath they have cancelled 3 trains due to overcrowding - though they shot past virtually empty and not the platform increasingly crowded - who'd have thought) . The 1849 is due in 14 minutes.
Nothing to see here, just @limebike casually unloading 15 bikes right across someone's access gate. Interested to know what @hackneycouncil and @metecoban92 will do about it.
If I parked one car this inconsiderately I'd rightly be fined. Lime get off scot free.
Given that @hackneycouncil cancelled my visitors parking ticket visitors parking ticket after misreading the number plate and issuing one to an entirely different car, this really should set a precededent.
It's not the first time either.
@TfL there is not a "good service" on the Mildmay Line. There is a massive crowd at Stratford, the trains keep being put back later, are not stopping at all stations and as per usual, not useful advice.
Still no response @sercogroup? It is now 9 days since I told you I was undertaken by one of your vehicles using a bus lane and exceeding the speed limit (which I was driving at).
The vehicle was registration number BX70 EUV.
Do you intend to do anything about this at all?
Please could I have a response to this @sercogroup. It isn't good enough to ignore people trying to report dangerous and illegal driving by your employees.
OK, my memory is failing me...but Google has restored it. You must in fact remain "seated and covered" so sit down and wear a hat.
Google also tells me they stopped this in 1998.
@MattChorley you can speak in the Commons with a hat on but only to raise a Point of Order during a division. It is recorded in Hansard as "raised and covered".
