Boda boda guys are really the second on the list of devils after Airtel ofcourse.I was there all driving carefully, changing gears appropriately and one whispered to me through the window “ovuga yani”
There and then I lost concentration.😪
Max : "Sometimes I tried to hop a bit out of the kart, which helped me”
At a standing start or in a very slow corner the engine of a rental kart is below the clutch engagement point, so the kart just sits there or crawls.
The “scoot” by Verstappen keeps the engine from dropping quite as far, so the clutch stays closer to the engagement rpm and you get a fraction more drive.
That sudden shift of his mass loads the rear tyres for a moment, reducing wheelspin when the clutch finally bites.
The gain is only a few tenths at most and only matters when the kart is barely moving. Once you are above 20–25 km/h the engine is already in its power band and body-shifting does almost nothing.
Of the 100 drivers racing only max knew this rental-kart trick,

Impressed with the quality of work now 87% complete -December commissioning .
CDF Gen MK has commended the UPDF Engineering Brigade for the impressive progress on the new MoDVA/UPDF Headquarters at Mbuya, now 87% complete and on course for commissioning in December.
Built entirely by UPDF engineers, this landmark twin-tower complex will provide a modern, unified command hub with advanced communication, command and digital systems.
The CDF thanked the engineers for their dedication and assured them their hard work will be specially recognised.
Modern infrastructure. Stronger coordination. Stronger UPDF. Stronger Uganda.
Today in a taxi from Kampala to Bweyogere, the conductor received a phone call and asked, “lecture ya sawa meka?” That’s when I realized that hustle is real in Kampala🥹
ORGANIZATIONS RISE AND FALL ON LEADERSHIP
By Justus Mugisha - 1st Vice President, FUFA, President USSSA.
Written aboard Uganda Airlines Flight UR 320, Dar es Salaam to Entebbe, Tonight.
I am writing this at 35,000 feet, aboard our own Uganda Airlines, on my way back from Dar es Salaam to Entebbe tonight. The cabin crew is professional, the flight is smooth, and outside my window is the very flag we fought to put back in the sky in 2019.
It is the perfect place to reflect on leadership.
A few months ago, this same airline was defined not by its smooth flights, but by grounded aircraft. At one point, nearly 60% of its fleet capacity was unavailable - forcing the airline into expensive wet-leases just to keep the schedule alive. An aircraft on the ground does not earn; it bleeds.
We all saw the story: persistent financial losses, governance queries, procurement and staffing concerns. Aircraft don't fly themselves. Strategy without leadership is just expensive metal on the tarmac.
That is why I fully support the changes at Uganda Airlines.
On February 13, 2026, President Museveni intervened and directed that former CEO Jenifer Bamuturaki step aside, citing "current leadership and management weaknesses" and appointed Ethiopian aviation veteran Ato Girma Wake as Acting CEO and Consultant/Advisor until July 2026.
Some asked: Why a foreigner to lead our national carrier?
As 1st VP of FUFA, I smiled. Because in football, we have faced the same accusation for years.
We have always turned to foreign coaches for the Uganda Cranes for the exact same reason. And we have been blamed for it. We have been told we do not trust Ugandan coaches. But we were never looking for a passport. We were looking for transformation.
You do not have to be a citizen to be a transformational leader.
Look at who we now have at Uganda Airlines. Girma Wake joined Ethiopian Airlines in 1965 and as CEO from 2004-2011 transformed it into Africa's most profitable and globally competitive carrier. He did it through discipline, modernization, and corporate governance. He is, as many have said, one of Africa's finest aviation minds.
Five months in, experts say he is quietly rebuilding the airline from the inside out - not talking about new aircraft in 2032, but fixing today's reliability, stopping leakage, and restoring commercial discipline.
That is exactly what a great foreign coach does. He brings a system, a standard, and the authority to make the difficult decisions that need to be made.
As aviation expert Dr. Arnold Agaba noted, "An airline is capital-intensive, and it is very sensitive to leadership problems." So is a national team. So is any organization that carries a nation's pride.
Sitting here tonight on a Uganda Airlines flight that left on time and is operating efficiently, I feel vindicated.
The Uganda Airlines case vindicates us in football. It proves that true patriotism is not about who holds the office, but whether the office finally delivers for Uganda.
Organizations indeed rise and fall on leadership. Tonight, at 35,000 feet, I can feel ours rising again.

🚨 𝗕𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚: Argentine football will pay tribute to Lionel Messi this weekend. 🇦🇷
All matches across every division will pause in the 10th minute for a one-minute ovation celebrating the legendary career of greatest player of all time. 🐐
TRIBUTE: The late King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV’s cousin, Patrick Mpuuga, says the King had always dreamed of joining the military, inspired by his grandfather, George Mathew David Kamurasi Rukidi III. Mpuuga says King Oyo had hoped to join the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in the United Kingdom, but the dream never came to pass. But with the support of President Museveni, arrangements were instead made for him to undergo military training at Kasenyi.

Dear @Ronkawamara I have watched this video and remembered the various occasions I would come to certain events and see you there with the King having a great time.
This is one of the saddest moments but I pray God gives you strength brother to carry on your King's and friend's legacy. May King Oyo's Soul Rest in Peace.
Fortunately, in a telephone call, Her Royal Highness Kemigisa, told me that H.H. Oyo left a young boy heir that will be introduced to the public at the right time.
H.H. Oyo worked well with the Central Government, thereby avoiding the mistake of trying to use the Cultural Institutions that were restored by the NRM to promote sectarianism. It would be good if all the Cultural leaders understood the importance of this.
I direct that H.H. Oyo be given an official burial and, for three days, all the flags fly at half-mast. The three days are: the day of the burial, the day before and the day after. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
Signed:
Yoweri K. Museveni
President of the Republic of Uganda
It is with profound sadness that I have learnt of the passing of His Majesty Omukama Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV, the King of Tooro Kingdom.
On behalf of the Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA), and on my own behalf, I extend heartfelt condolences to the Royal Family, the people of Tooro Kingdom and the entire nation of Uganda during this difficult time.
His Majesty was a symbol of our cultural heritage, a unifying figure and a strong supporter of the development of young people and sport. His contribution to Tooro and Uganda will remain part of his enduring legacy.
May the Almighty grant strength and comfort to the Royal Family and the people of Tooro as they mourn this immeasurable loss.
Omukama Atulize.
Enkuba Etutire.
May His Majesty's soul rest in eternal peace.
I never realized Whitney Houston’s “I Always Love You” was written by Dolly Parton.
There was no feud. Dolly gave permission for her to sing it in “The Bodyguard” and was flattered and honored by Whitney’s version.
She was pure class. ♥️🔥
Kampala roads today are giving us a very rare experience: traffic is actually moving. 😂
Apparently the secret to solving Kampala traffic was not better roads. It was removing taxis.
