@TimSweeneyEpic AI by itself isn't a bad thing, nor is the label. It depends on how its used, and I'm glad Steam allows devs to explain and provide context.

It's not the same to use AI to make research or automate tedious tasks, rather than generate assets or even full games or software.

Most social networks have and require an AI content label. Music and video platforms such as Spotify and YouTube also have such disclosures.

That's mainly due to international laws.

Now. Shouldn't video games disclose AI usage too?

@signalspikedev Sadly, Valve doesn't care. As long as they get a cut from every sale, even if it's just a handful, they'll allow it.

Greenlight only worked partially, and I don't see how it could be implemented nowadays.

The Nintendo eShop has a similar issue.
