This has got to be the most moronic story of the month. It's genuinely so stupid it frankly boggles the mind.

It was broken by Norwegian daily "Dagens Næringsliv" (DN) under the title "Chinese-owned rental cars filmed secret exercise: Saved video of soldiers and codes" (https://t.co/R28sm12SzE).

BUT when you look into the story what actually happened is that, for an exercise, the Norwegian army was short on cars so it rented some from Hertz.

Those rental cars had dashcams - as cars do - that the soldiers mistakenly kept on. At one point, some soldiers found out about that: they were clicking through the car menus out of boredom and stumbled on the footage, including clips of themselves typing gate codes in front of the camera. They deleted the footage. There is zero evidence the footage left the car.

THAT'S IT, that's the whole story.

China hysteria being what it is in Europe these days, this somehow got transformed into a "China spying" story because Hertz Norway is owned by Volvo, itself owned by Geely (a Chinese company), and 2 of the cars were from a Chinese brand, Deepal.

The narrative apparently being that Geely, through Volvo, through Hertz, deliberately left standard dashcams on in rental cars in the hope that the Norwegian military would one day rent them and forget to turn the dashcams off 🤦

And now, as is always the case, it's being spread globally by accounts like Clash Report 👇, which even found a way to make the story dumber: their version has the cars as "Chinese-owned Volvos", when they weren’t Volvos at all.

Such is the contemporary media ecosystem: one outlet invents the hysteria, the next one strips away the last remaining nuance and we all end up dumber for it.

Some piece of shit decided it would be a funny prank to have Jane Doe swatted.

The police pulled weapons on her brother, boyfriend, and father believing there to be victims inside the house after someone called claiming that they were killing people inside. I cannot even imagine the fear they all must have felt. She is now blacking out all of her windows out of fear someone is going to try and shoot her and her family. Her attorney is now saying that her mental health is deteriorating over the nonstop harassment.

I hope whoever made that call is found and charged with attempted murder. I’m so glad no one was injured but this type of harassment is beyond dangerous. Her life has already been shattered from what happened to her. The little peace she’s been able to create from herself is now being taken away because of these people. This is beyond disgusting and cruel.

Swatting has killed multiple people and nothing is ever done to the people responsible until it’s too late. Our politicians need to change laws so that anyone who makes a call to have someone swatted is criminally charged with attempted murder.

What is actually ‘pure evil’ is the killing of civilian captives by the Syrian ‘opposition’ in order that they might be displayed to the world’s media as evidence of the ‘crimes’ of Bashar al Assad. (Douma, 2918). This war crime had the connivance of MI6, via their proxy Mayday Rescue (the White Helmets) who were bunged millions from the intel budget to help fake chemical weapons attacks.

Pure evil is correct. MI6 officers and hierarchy who planned and participated in this should have their collars felt.

On the rest of the ‘chemical weapons’ attacks in Syria, here is a summary of all of the rest.

1. There were a small handful of actual chemical weapons attacks carried out by the Syrian ‘opposition’. The victims were the military personnel of the Syrian Arab Army.

2. All of the rest. Yes, all, were false flags by the Western operatives and the Syrian ‘opposition’. They fall into two broad categories:

2a. Attacks that never happened, but were pure propaganda inventions. These included ‘attacks’ where ‘evidence’ was planted or concocted. Such as Ghouta in 2013.

2b. Attacks where some sort of chemical agent was released by the opposition and attributed to the Syrian Arab Army. Such as Khan Sheikhoun in 2017.

In both those cases civilians were murdered simply to provide fake evidence for the global media.

If you want to talk about evil, try being morally serious and empirically grounded.

I’m old enough to remember the uproar when President Ronald Reagan visited the Nazi war cemetery in Bitburg, Germany in 1985. Jewish groups didn’t think there should be “room to mourn” Nazi SS genocide perpetrators.
