@MKolis2965334@CovertChimp@LeBolshevikman The Germans did also have battles early on where they took more casualties than the Red Army. That’s just offense to me.
The offense, sans outlying things like the encirclements we talked about- historically always have a lower k/d. if that’s how you wanna look at it that is.
@alexcel88@Autotrot_2@LeBolshevikman Saying a statement you uttered *betrays* a level of immaturity that is unappealing… means I’m ESL?
Strange metric imo
@alexcel88@Autotrot_2@LeBolshevikman No… I meant betrays.
Your prior statement betrays the fact that you have an immature mind. OR something else… neither of which are appealing or attractive.
That might be better worded.
@OrphanInnocent@RTSG_Seraph Funny enough, I was hard anti-communist UNTIL I got my first job 😭
I remember staying up to watch trump win… thank god I grew up man sheesh.
@MKolis2965334@CovertChimp@LeBolshevikman It really comes down to who has the initiative, who has the back foot.
Early war? German initiative. Lots of defeated Soviet troops. Late war? Soviet initiative, lots of defeated Axis troops.
Sounds pretty reasonable to me!
@MKolis2965334@CovertChimp@LeBolshevikman Is anyone surprised that the Soviet Union suffered heavy losses at the beginning? Even before being a communist I knew this.
Red Army would get surrounded by a smaller local force, and when trying to break out they’d lose a lot of men…
No different to late war Germany.
@starezilla@LeBolshevikman I agree with you!
Every army understood the importance of utilizing MUNITIONS over MANPOWER. To pretend *any* one army is so different (far worse or far better) to another due to politics or culture is laughable.
Armies operate in largely similar ways. Funny how that works.
@MKolis2965334@CovertChimp@LeBolshevikman Isn’t the ironic part… you doing the same thing? Like the parroted part is the”red army human waves11!!!”
That’s what I heard all the time growing up from my McCarthy-ized crusty Gen X and boomer older folks.
@illusionsMD@LeBolshevikman spot in order to have the best chances at getting un-encircled. It didn’t usually work, but it was literally the only tactic afforded to them given the context.
The Red Army never threw “human waves” at the Germans. They used tactics and strategy. Just like every other country.
@illusionsMD@LeBolshevikman The idea of the red army “throwing” waves at the Germans comes from the early war, when the Germans would encircle 100’s of thousands of Red Army troopers. To break out- the red army (low on grenades, machine guns, tank support, air support) would try and throw everything at one
@LadyVValerian It’s when girls get to shoot guns, that actually leads to better outcomes for the sisterhood.
Not just kill poor brown kids for college, like now.
@CELEST1ALB0UND@sneedsbestfeed@HamasCEO Please explain to anyone what you mean then maybe? Nobody understands what ethno “confessional” nationalism is.
Just sounds like you’re playing down something you know people won’t like to hear bud.
@Daniel86Cycles@Gabriel17Lj@21stcentury_ML The working class taking back control over their OWN lives, their OWN decisions? Immediate drop in depression, stress, gun violence. The profits don’t get siphoned up- and instead are invested into and by the workers directly making their jobs easier, not more and more profits.
@Daniel86Cycles@Gabriel17Lj@21stcentury_ML I do object to all others. Most at least. The workers built this world- we deserve it. Not stand outcast and starving midst the wonders WE made.
Focusing on the workplace- it’s where most of our lives are led. It’s the most important for us to own for our own health and safety.
@theWEniverseis1@markocantdunk Ok so looking it up- it seems Steinbeck said something along these lines in his 1960 essay: A Primer on the 30’s.
“I guess the trouble was that we didn’t have any self-admitted proletarians. Everyone was a temporarily embarrassed capitalist.”
