Thrilled to share my new book about trade politics, corporate lobbying and the backlash to globalization in developed countries. Thank you @CUP_PoliSci

This book provides the first comprehensive theory of the domestic politics of intra-industry trade, tested in a comparative framework.

It should come as no great surprise that a Democratic Party which has abandoned working class people would find that the working class has abandoned them.
While the Democratic leadership defends the status quo, the American people are angry and want change.
And they’re right.

I had such a productive and stimulating week at @EUI_Schuman (my post-doc alma mater!) for the #SchumanCentre30 workshop on gender analysis in EU political economy. Thank you, @CostHermanin, @matildecer, and everyone else involved!
Last week, we celebrated 3️⃣decades of impactful research with the week of Joint Sessions of Workshops.

@argella I do this early, with my freshmen, and reinforce it in my 200-level classes. Also, I assign a lot less reading than I used to. Quality over quantity.
@argella I spend a lot of time in class teaching them how to read journal articles. We practice finding the research question, the hypotheses, etc. I teach them how & what to skim (& what not to skim). Reading scholarly texts is a learned skill but college profs often forget to teach it.
Zero female headliners out of the 10 announced so far this year is WILD @Musikfest@SteelStacksLive. Though I shouldn't be surprised because it's like this every year.
I recently heard a smart criticism that @Musikfest disproportionately chooses male artists for their headliners. Unfortunately they'd rather block commenters on Instagram than engage with this meaningful critique. I, for one, would love to see more female artists on the mainstage
Our piece has been picked up by a bunch of outlets.
