A huge congrats, and massive thank you, to the 21 friends/family of Jackie Kinsella who conquered the 24 mile, three mountain trek that is the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge in aid of Secondary1st....in just 11hours 40mins!! #fundraiser#secondarybreastcancer

Yup. @abcdiagnosis has been banging on about this for nearly a decade. What will it take for people to listen to those of us who weren’t “cured”...?!!!
A phase 1 trial saved my life almost 4 years ago, and I’m still on it. More metastatic breast cancer patients need to offered trials - or seek them out
I’m annoyed.
I’m annoyed that it’s left to a group of dying patients to push change where we are being let down by key organizations that should be doing this & helping us
Not even just pushing for change
we are LEADING the change
Time for change & accountability

Dear #cancerresearch
Thank you for developing drugs - we (#secondarybreastcancer patients) need them urgently..
But your research is a far cry from what my friends are experiencing - early death because the computer says no
There seems a huge chasm between research & reality👇🏼
I have #SecondaryBreastCancer. Like too many UK #cancer patients I struggle to access the best treatments on the #NHS.
I was recently asked why I don't have private medical insurance to pay for #DrugAccess. This blog is my response.

This is an inadequate rigid system that is happening all across the country it seems - what about helping patients to live & survive longer? Has this been lost in the arguments of funding? @breastcancernow@uk_oncologist
