#FridayNightFrills 18th Century silver embroidered blue damask court mantua,1730-40. Probably worn by Lady Rachel Morgan (of Tredegar House) for presentation at court
Went to St Fagans last week. @CuratorElen let me into the stores where I got to see AND TOUCH the heavily, beautifully embroidered Tredegar court dress (c 1720). It made "my" Welsh women so real, even more so than holding their letters and poems. Thank you Elen!

@Brodie_Waddell@sharon_howard PS We've a co-authored article on petitioning and autobiographical acts coming out hopefully very soon - we were so grateful for the petitions online when COVID hit
A new piece from @MaryFChadwick looks at depositions as collaborative productions in the 17th-century Court of Chancery. Very useful for anyone who works on 'voices' in legal records, including the #PowerOfPetitioning crowd.

@CrossCountryUK there's a very very loud, constant beeping noise on your 10.01 from Macclesfield. The train is also absolutely rammed with people who've paid a lot of money to travel
