A cold front will transition rain over to snow tonight into Monday. The accumulating snow in addition to gusty northwest winds will result in blowing snow which will make travel hazardous due to very low visibilities and snow covered roads. #ILwx#INwx
A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until Sunday at 6 p.m. on Sunday. The highest snowfall totals and most significant travel impacts are expected be around I-55 and Lake Michigan. Give yourself plenty of time if you have to go anywhere this evening.

Heat indices are expected to exceed 100 degrees the next few days. Be sure to check in on friends, relatives & neighbors who live alone, are elderly and/or disabled. Get out of the heat and make your way to one of the City's Cooling Centers. Call 311 for a location near you.
Need help telling someone where you are downtown? Just look up! The pole markers in Grant Park and along the Lakefront not only serve as a great meeting spot but also help 9-1-1 call takers and dispatchers identify your location.
