Eleven days after the paper was published, the Oregon Medical Board issued an emergency suspension of his license. The board accused him of failing to properly vaccinate patients, ordering unnecessary antibody tests, and other unprofessional conduct. Thomas later surrendered his Oregon license and faced reciprocal action in Washington state.

His findings, along with a separate Henry Ford Health analysis that reached similar conclusions, remain highly controversial and have been rejected by mainstream medical organizations.

Thomas has consistently said he was targeted for publishing data that challenged the official vaccine schedule and for offering parents genuine informed consent.

Whether you agree with his conclusions or not, the speed of the suspension raises serious questions about how medical boards handle dissenting research.
