Almighty. Grant us the strength & clarity of mind to walk the path You have laid out for us.
We do get overwhelmed. We stumble. We are worried constantly. We know that You've worked out every detail of our lives. Keep us firm in faith with the courage to fight off all doubts.
That friends allow each other evolve without immediately naming it abandonment. That silence is not always interpreted as absence of love. That people remember some friendships are still safe places, even when life becomes busy and complicated.
Rough week on the farm
lost two goats and it’s hitting hard. Seems like there’s illness spreading through local herds based on what other farmers are telling me. Had to treat the whole flock
Hoping we can get through this rough patch soon.
Farming in Nigeria is no longer business as usual, and we need to talk about it.
A few years ago, when I was starting a new batch of broilers, I could confidently buy 40–50 bags of feed at once.
Back then, a bag of feed was around ₦9,000–₦13,000, and proper planning was possible.
Today, the reality is very different.
I now buy one bag, two bags, sometimes three bags at a time, not because I want to, but because I have no choice.
Feed prices have skyrocketed, the economy keeps getting tougher, and farmers are quietly absorbing the pressure.
From stocking feed in bulk to tying two bags of feed on a motorcycle, this is how much things have changed in just a few years.
And after all the stress, sleepless nights, rising costs, and risks, customers still come and price mature birds at very low amounts.
This part is discouraging. It ignores the real cost of feed, medication, labour, and time invested.
This is not a complaint, it is a reality check.
Farmers need to start speaking up, supporting one another, and possibly forming strong unions that can protect our interests and advocate for fair pricing and better policies.
Farming feeds the nation.
If farmers are struggling, food security is at risk.

@Naija_farmers@akinwale_cfi@AbiolaYuusuf@Millishield01 This captures the reality on ground. Farming in Nigeria has changed, costs keep rising, risks are higher, yet farmers are expected to sell at losses. Until farmers unite, demand fair pricing, and get supportive policies, the pressure will only keep growing.
