A propensity to sign-track was not associated with riskier choice or a greater susceptibility to the risk-promoting effects of reward-related cues. But we found some evidence that those with a propensity to goal-track might be more sensitive to cues' risk-promoting effects.
π’Excited to share new paper with @cawinstanley, @LukeClark01, Jason Barton & Jon Stoessl! We looked at sign-tracking/ goal-tracking in humans in relation to risky decision making and rik-promoting effects of reward-related cues. https://t.co/Q5ikcfP2xO
It was great to have @cawinstanley give a virtual colloquium at the @NeuroscienceWVU seminar series! I never get tired of hearing about rats gambling and the other amazing work coming out of her lab! ππ°
Excellent advice. And we don't need to know (and you don't have to disclose) personal background motivating your interests (eg, in mental health topics).
Plus, surprisingly, "I did my first experiment when I was three..." doesn't make you stand out! Apparently, everyone did ;)
π’Come work with us!! West Virginia University Department of Psychology is recruiting for a Teaching Assistant Professor position to develop our rapidly growing undergraduate program in Neuroscience! Please RT and DM me if you have any questions.
