Various sources have reported the death of Freshta Emadi in Kabul. A LinkedIn profile attributed to her indicates that she worked for a UN agency in Afghanistan. A funeral announcement circulating online suggests she died and was buried yesterday. Multiple, conflicting accounts of the circumstances surrounding her death have emerged, including allegations involving her husband or the Taliban; however, no information regarding the cause or circumstances of her death has been independently confirmed.
@usembislamabad We are allies of the USA with approved P1/P2 cases, now facing imminent deportation from Pakistan. Return to Afghanistan would put our lives in grave danger. We urgently request the U.S. Embassy to engage Pakistani authorities and prevent our deportation until relocation begins.
Being a P1/P2 applicant in Pakistan is not just about waiting٫ it is about surviving. Four years of limbo have taken pieces of lives that can never be restored.
