@robottomulatto @AshlynSparrow I'd just play the newest. It helps that you've played CK2 but there's even more micro management. A rule of thumb for the complexity/breadth of the micro management in a paradox game is that it's roughly based on the level of bureaucracy a state is capable of at the time.

@AshlynSparrow @robottomulatto Dislcaimer2: Victoria 2 is about the colonial era so more often than not you'll be playing the role of a brutal colonizer which can feel gross but it's kind of nice that it often does feel gross in Paradox's games. Most games like to abstract away the disturbing details.

@AshlynSparrow @robottomulatto Disclaimer: Victoria 2 is a grand strategy game meaning there's a lot of micro management and it'll take lots of play time (and save scumming) to even begin playing the game competently but the huge mistakes that you'll make often mirror history in enlightening ways.
