Elon's xAI put runnable Grok apps on GitHub, and there's some seriously f*cking useful stuff in there
turn receipts into spreadsheets, articles into podcasts and product photos into video ads. community tools go further, connecting Grok to Claude Code, your video editor and your own notes
here are 10 repos to start with:
01 xAI Cookbook → copy working examples for receipt extraction, podcasts, sales-call briefs and video ads, with instructions for running each app
https://t.co/SvTegvY3PZ
02 ChatCut → let Grok Bot or Claude Code edit a video project, add captions, create motion graphics and export the finished cut
https://t.co/Sbj2A0GRab
03 GTM Skills → build prospect lists, research competitors and prepare sales calls using Explorium's company and contact data
https://t.co/VlPIoRYW4t
04 Grok Plugin for Claude Code → ask Grok to review Claude's changes and return findings with file locations, severity and suggested fixes
https://t.co/6y2MDQ2tE5
05 grok-mcp → give Claude Code access to Grok's live X search and image and video generation through the xAI API
https://t.co/c3A9GFHq1Y
06 Runway Plugin → generate video clips, music, speech and sound effects from Grok Bot using your Runway account
https://t.co/WJ1nkIdMtr
07 Grok Bot Inbox → give your bot a dedicated email inbox with threads, search and attachments, hosted in your Cloudflare account
https://t.co/3vVbFFx9Tr
08 Obsidian Bridge → connect Grok Bot to your Obsidian notes through a self-hosted bridge that starts with read-only access
https://t.co/tkurLgN5xK
09 Grok Bot Gateway → send tasks from Claude Code to a Grok Bot through webhooks, with a configurable route for getting replies back
https://t.co/q4SYZgpWDu
10 Grok Bot Usage → check weekly usage, extra spending and billing periods across your Grok Bot accounts in one terminal
https://t.co/SkrHytMK5c
pick a job you already do manually and give your agent the matching repo, one sample input and the result you expect
check each repo's setup requirements for API costs, service accounts and hosting before installing
get one complete task working before adding another tool
Claude Code + Opus 5.5 is godmode for building your own Claude Duet
it reads your inbox and calendar before you wake up. drafts every reply. sends nothing without your yes
it keeps working while you sleep

MY GROK BOT HAS ONE RULE I KEEP BREAKING: AFTER A LOSS, YOU DO NOT GET BIGGER. $100 INTO $8,260
Hour 2. A SOL scalp stops out. −$62.
I know exactly what I do next. Triple the size, win it back, feel smart by lunch.
The bot does the opposite. A cooldown starts on the screen. 15:00. I asked for 3x size anyway. Denied. Same size, or nothing.
At hour 14 I tried 50x by hand. Denied again. The wall is 25x and it does not move.
Every exit is written before the entry, and nothing touches it after.
> ETH long, 10x, +$410
> SOL short, 12x, +$980
> BTC long, 15x, +$2,140
> LINK short, 10x, +$2,870
Four take-profits, +$6,400. None of them came right after a loss.
Underneath, 162 small closes. 133 wins, 29 losses. Average win 3.8% of balance, average loss 0.6%.
The losses stay small because the next trade never tries to pay for the last one.
I would have revenge traded hour 2. The bot just waited 15 minutes.
HOLY SH*T, I GAVE GROK $100, 25X AND ONE RULE, NO REASON NO TRADE. 6 HOURS LATER IT HAD CALLED 15 PERPS AND HIT $1,756
everyone says AI can't trade futures because it just guesses direction
so this evening i made it explain every single call before it opened anything
if grok can't write one line of why, nobody trades
5pm to 11pm. only alts. SOL, LINK, AVAX, XRP, BNB, LTC, DOT. longs and shorts
some of the calls:
→ 17:27 LINK long 20x. +$36
→ 19:00 XRP short 25x. +$75
→ 20:09 BNB long 25x. +$119
→ 21:42 LTC long 25x, "breakout retest held". +$235
→ 22:05 SOL short 25x, "range high rejection". +$324
→ 22:28 LINK long 25x, "volume spike on 1m". +$385
the reasons were wrong 3 times
→ 18:14 ETH long 25x, stop hit, -$22
→ 19:46 ADA long 20x, stop hit, -$39
→ 21:18 DOT long 20x, "liquidity sweep below", it kept sweeping. -$71
all 3 stops were set before the entry. grok didn't touch them
and the part i didn't ask for: once a trade went green, it dragged the stop to breakeven by itself. then at the first target it took partial profit and moved the stop up again. "tp1 hit · move sl" all over the log
it watched every open position every 250ms. 70% of the balance as margin every call, so the size grew with every win. 116 USDT on the early calls, 959 on the last
12 tp hits, 3 stops
$100 → $216 → $514 → $711 → $1,756
the last 3 calls alone made 945. the reasons are all in the log. i just read them after
bookmark it for the next time someone tells you AI can't trade perps
