Sodi runs a multibillion rand empire allegedly built on lucrative government tenders around the country

Although Sodi’s Reputation has continued to decline on the basis of his companies not delivering, the government has continued to award him tenders

In 2021, a contract worth R179 million was awarded to Sodi’s company called G5 group to construct a pump station, a project which was not completed…

But the company has since received over 30 state contracts and none of the projects have been completed

It has been reported that Edwin Sodi is a donor to the ANC government and some prominent leaders in the ANC

In 2020, Sodi was arrested, alongside former ANC SG Ace Magashule for Fraud, Corruption and Money laundering related to a R255 million tender awarded to him for the Asbestos project which was also not completed in Free State

Sodi’s companies despite all of these are still being awarded tenders from the Government
