Wealth taxes sound like they only hit the super-rich. But that wealth funds innovations and breakthroughs that benefit all of us. Tax it and everyone loses. Cato's @adamnmichel explains.
Crime is down in D.C. That's part of a nationwide trend that began before Trump took office in 2025—and likely not due to the National Guard deployment in the district. https://t.co/FhO2XIGlQ8
A simple trick Republicans can do to prevent Democrats from winning. Just have every Republican vote yellow. Done. Easy. If blue wins, blame red for not voting yellow.
Cato Institute’s "Freedom in the 50 States" ranks US states on their support for and protection of both economic freedom and personal freedom across a wide range of issues.

This is what “voting straight ticket Republican” gets you
New Hampshire has fallen from being a sure #1 freest state to #8
Thankfully a competent Libertarian Party has arrived to reclaim the Granite State’s number one spot. We’ve got a lot of work to do.
Hot take:
If Elon Musk had stayed in South Africa, we might never have heard of SpaceX, Tesla or Neuralink.
That tells you how much a country’s business environment matters for innovation and prosperity.
Africa is the poorest region in the world because our business environments don’t give entrepreneurs the freedom to innovate and create prosperity.
The 2026 "Freedom in the 50 States" is here, ranking all US states on economic and personal freedom. For the first time, it also grades governors on how well they've advanced liberty.

@carynannharlos Republicans could attack Abdul El-Sayed like this instead of pointing out that he's muslim as shown in the post below: https://t.co/H46h8DeTv4
First, @AbdulElSayed says that originalism is about the context. Originalism is textual; it is in opposition to contextualism. If you're going to argue against originalism, know what it is!
Then he wants to limit the 2nd Amendment, which guarantees the right to arms, to the arms existing at the time. But he does want to limit the 1st to only the speech which existed at the time, allowing government censorship of the Internet; he does not what to limit the 4th from protecting your automobile; he does not want to limit the 5th from protecting your smartphone password - none of which existed at the time.
Then, he claims that armed groups under federal control qualify as the people keeping and bearing arms to prevent federal tyranny!
These easily correctible mistakes are what Republicans could be attacking him on, but they're too busy accidentally recording free campaign interviews for him.
Also, they can't bring up that whole second point, because their candidate, Mike Rogers, believes that things like smartphones and automobiles are NOT protected by the Bill of Rights, and he supports government censorship of the Internet.
This is why Republicans lose: when Democrats are wrong, they're either too stupid to know how to counter them, or they themselves are even more wrong.
