Thread with videos of what I’ve really enjoyed from Michael Hage last season in USHL;
Start with what I think is one of his best attributes being his shot. He has a great release. He uses defenders as screens well and has a very silky toe drag release as well.
Today is Canadian Armed Forces Day. It is a day that is dedicated to showing appreciation and thanks for all our serving military personnel, Veterans and their families. We are proud and thankful for your service, sacrifices and dedication to Canada.
Thank you alone is not enough. We are forever grateful.

@RiseFromTheAshZ Haven’t seen them play a ton but from what I saw when we played them, he was the more creative player. Charbonneau does have him beat in the physical aspect but if Thomas can grow a bit more he’ll be scary.
Hockey commissioners successfully have gotten their counter-proposal to NCAA age rules, passed by NCAA cabinet. Details to follow. It will apply to all sports.
TWICE AS NICE 🏆🏆 #NHLAwards
Nick Suzuki surprised Cole Caufield with the Lady Byng Memorial Trophy before Caufield surprised Suzuki with the Frank J. Selke Trophy. 😂
The Lady Byng Memorial Trophy is awarded for sportsmanship and gentlemanly conduct and the Frank J.Selke Trophy is awarded to the top defensive forward.
@Derek_N_NHL Totally agree and I don’t know if this is the case for sure but I bet part of it has to do with being in a market like Vegas.
West Coast game times combined with smaller ish market. Not saying Vegas doesn’t have good fans but you know what I mean.
Brendan Gallagher is THE example for a player who knew what it meant to be a Montreal Canadien despite not being from here.
A lot of the current players followed his lead.
Ivan Demidov will spend his summer in Montreal again, and has invited Alexander Zharovsky to Montreal to train for at least part of the summer. Demidov says Zharovsky is supposed to arrive here next week.
Growing up watching Gally play the way he did for so long, this is tough to watch. He gave everything to this organization.
They don’t make them like Gally very often anymore. Heart and soul through some dark times.
Touching statement from Brendan Lemieux.
The family revealed Claude Lemieux’s brain has been donated to @BU_CTE’s study. “No conclusions should be drawn at this time.”
Sad that in such a trying, tragic time their privacy has been violated by trash, attention-seeking content.
@ChaissonSpencer@DustR25 Hit the nail on the head. It’s funny seeing people become so shocked when a random 3rd liner tears it up in the playoffs over some of the bigger stars. Depth production has always been one of the biggest factors of playoff success for the very reason you said here.
@HabsLaughs If I had to bet I’d say Hischier resigns but if he doesn’t want to stay in NJ it wouldn’t be smart to enter the season without an extension, and he’ll be taking calls I’m sure.
If Hischier doesn’t get a contract done with NJ I bet Kent would throw a nice package NJ’s way.
I’m sure wouldn’t be the only team interested obviously and it’s a big “what if” considering Hischier could easily sign still, but we know Kent likes to make the swings in the summer
Tough conference final for the Canadiens by any measure. But what a run by the youngest team to make the playoffs. Other front offices talk so highly about how Montreal is set up for the next decade with so many good contracts and a salary cap that’s going up big time. More in pipeline coming. Still some holes in that lineup, for sure. But Montreal is way ahead of schedule. Sky’s the limit.
@stock_guy1 Yeah I agree in part but honestly I think what was being asked of them to do wasn’t a recipe for success against this Carolina team for any team.
The issue I’m seeing is I understand Marty’s point of “The plan isn’t the problem it’s the execution.” That’s valid in a way, but at end of the day if execution didn’t improve in last 3 games, it’s not just a fluke. Have to adjust. Stretching the ice has not worked.
Not that anyone cares: Montreal has nothing to be ashamed of. The NHL playoffs are tough. It’s 4 months long. There’s 17 rounds. For some reason you have to play a team 7 times in a row to see who’s better. Sometimes you hit a wall or play a team that’s simply just more ready. A very young squad that’s still a resilient group, they’ll be back. I was blown away at how cool the people of MTL were which makes me want this team to do well. A lot of my life I’m thinking the French are all assholes. It’s sometimes true but not always true. Nothing is true. Everything depends. Everything is made up. We’re a blip on the radar in the grand scheme of the universe. All that matters is enjoying it. Is anyone out ?
