@PassportIRL (2) Necessary in Europe these days, so many places want "proof of EU citizenship" for children, and I'm not carrying their passports out and about, to get lost/stolen etc, unless I'm crossing a border.
@PassportIRL (1) It would be really helpful if children could access Passport Cards as adult applicants can, wish you would reconsider that. At the moment, they're only available at renewal time. My kids have their first time passport books, so stuck with a 5 year wait.
@CanBorder Could you be very clear on guidance posted on https://t.co/mpp09DGwdZ. I cannot tell if a British citizen flying from the UK to Toronto on an ETA would be fingerprinted on landing.
@CitImmCanada Could you be very clear on guidance posted on https://t.co/mpp09DGwdZ. I cannot tell if a British citizen flying from the UK to Toronto on an ETA would be fingerprinted on landing.
@kuantancurls Hi, I'm currently applying for FBR for my children, as they are "parent adopted by Irish citizen". I'm expecting pushback. If you could share any info regarding who told you what, to help them, it would be appreciated. Public Twitter or DM fine with me.
@kuantancurls@irlscotland Hi, I don't login to to twitter that often, glad you got there :) I was a bit annoyed by the misinformation I received, I didn't choose to be adopted. So happy to help others. It came as bit of shock to me as well, finding out I was an Irish Citizen, but never knew it!
@CTA_gc@cdntourism Could you confirm if a British citzen, travelling on an ETA, gets fingerprinted landing at e.g. toronto ? Heard a rumor, hope it's not true.
@TruthBowler Yes, because the referendum was when the decision was made. That’s when the ‘advocation’ would have made a difference i.e. others loosing rights. If she spends over 90 days in the EU or works in the EU, you’ll have your answer to your non-question. Chances of that happening? ;)
@vivamjm@sophielouisecc@PoultenDavid@fromthenorth66 My god....."hypocrite"??? I'm pretty sure Sophie was too young to vote in 2016. So apart from holding an opinion you disagree with (God forbid), not seeing your angle tbh.
@kuantancurls@irlscotland Who told you that? FBR or Passport? DFA said same to me as it's a virtually impossible requirement on passport form. You may need to get a RICA.
@cmroxb@vueling Try @IrlEmbMadrid instead. The Spainish need some education LOL - I've heard of people having to explain to the Spanish that Ireland is a seperate country, not part of, the UK 😳
@AnneliesVl It's a good idea-apart from the fingerprinting, drop that and it might work. I refuse to travel to the USA because of that, and soon the EU. I like the way a blind eye is shown to illegals all the way to Calais, but a British tourist on holiday will get treated like a criminal.
