@grok i get hosted vs open-source and coexistence. Assume I want to build agents for use cases that OpenClaw fulfills (presumably on my data / tools) such as persistent continuously improving agents, can I achieve that with Managed Agents… or do I still need an Openclaw-like setup?
Today I’m excited to announce @Heretic_wtf, a creative marketing studio founded to help build brands worth paying attention to.
Web3 is at a crossroads. 4 years ago when I went full-time into the space, there was a clear need for unique positioning for projects to stand out. Now, instead of seeing leading brands emerging across a variety of verticals, we're witnessing a convergence of strategy leading to a classic adage from advertising: we've entered a "sea of sameness."
The most impactful creative marketing happens when you burn the playbook. We need a group dedicated to questioning the established way of thinking to break the mold. That’s why I started Heretic.
This problem isn't unique to web3, it's something many industries have faced. The difference is that right now, web3 is incentivized to rinse and repeat the same strategy as everyone else: meme this, mascot that, quest until the numbers look good.
This short-term growth outlook will not survive.
So I’m introducing Heretic. A creative studio to help think about brands in this space in a way that creates a better emotional connection for the long-term. It’s time to start behaving like an industry worth paying attention to.
Over the past 12 years I’ve helped brands like Nike, Jordan, Amazon, Robinhood, and many others think about these problems. I’m bringing my network of people who have experience solving these problems for leading brands to web3.

Why is it hard to be a manager these days?
😱 You feel like you have more to do than ever.
😡 Your teams are frustrated with you.
🤯 Your bosses are putting more and more pressure on you.
Leaders, let’s be real.
If you expect someone to manage others, without giving them the support or resources to do so, you’re setting them up to fail.
The number 1 reason why we fail to change our behavior is… drum roll, please 🥁
We forget. 🧠
The other day I heard how 80% of behavior change is less about what you do, but when you do it. ⏰
That’s why a simple Post-it can be so much more effective than an elaborate system. 📝
How do we end up with bad bosses?
1. Individual contributor excels at their role
2. They become a top performer
3. They get promoted to lead others
4. They’re never taught how to lead
5. They have too much on their plate
6. They’re overwhelmed
7. They underperform
If you’re a leader of leaders, the place to break the cycle is #4.
