What are the odds that we're already ignorantly coexisting with a shy super AI? I'd certainly say sub-50% (for now). But further north of 0% than you might think. This new podcast episode is a monologue, and a (mostly) playful thought experiment. https://t.co/xrtM3r6MJ5
So, @_panthalassa operated mostly in secret for a decade. And what it built is nuts.
Massive, massive floating data centers that drive themselves out to sea and then capture water inside of them to spin a turbine and power GPUs. Look at these things.

Excited to announce today that my startup, @positron_ai, has closed a $230M Series B financing round at an over $1B valuation, co-led by great folks at @jumptrading, Arena, Unless Ventures, and strategic backing by @Arm!

Congratulations to @positron_ai on this great initial article covering their sensational Series A financing! (full disclosure - I/my fund are big Positron backers) https://t.co/6skXQrZ53v
Shame on @23andMe . I tried to delete my data, entered a circular doom loop of notifications which included locking out of my account. This is not right. You MUST allow us to delete our data - PERIOD. Always - but particularly now that our data will be sold by a bankrupcy judge.
@23andMeSupport I attempted to delete my data. I was sent a confirmation email. I clicked on it and was sent to a login page (odd, as I was logged in). Then you said my login was wrong. I attempted to change my password but this was forbidden. This is not right. Please fix.
If they’d had the sense to use a Sasquatch suit they never would have been caught, since Sasquatch dexterity and claw-marks are less understood by forensic teams. https://t.co/te1YfqEFrz
@Sams_Antics Where we differ seems ( ?) to be that you deem consciousness/emotions to be mandatory for self-preservation to be prioritized. I don't think that's mandatory at all for the various reasons discussed in the episode...

@Sams_Antics Yes to having read those - and thanks for the kind words about creating again. wrt your 0% estimate - curious what you find impossible? That we'll reach AGI? That AGI would lead to Super AI? That a startup could possibly lose control of an AI? Or...?
I first met @johncumbers over 10 years ago, and love going to his SynBioBeta conference, which kicks off tomorrow in San Jose. Well worth it if you're in range: https://t.co/yRQ9FIiMDS
