My first EVER song went live this morning!! You can follow this link to listen to it: https://t.co/X9h1iMuyx5 - I'm so tremendously excited to share it with you all 🥰🥰
@RobertCNott @androphiles @cldwtr_dd @Atticus59914029 @lavern_spicer Just out of curiosity do you get this bent out of shape if someone asks you to use a nickname? Like if you called me Mathew and I said “oh I go by Crabcake cos I hate crabcakes and my friends think it’s funny” would you be all “don’t complicate things, why should I care?”
@therewillbenic@KYODAIBARA@WeeboftheLeft@AytchAnd@TheBeaverton Lol he blocked me after this.
For anyone else who stumbles upon this I'll just say that reactive abuse exists & is hard to track (talked about in the trial & by many experts)
I don't want to theorise about people's trauma. I just think disinformation is bad & counterproductive
@therewillbenic@KYODAIBARA@WeeboftheLeft@AytchAnd@TheBeaverton I'm not gonna sit here and theorise about what happened with other peoples' trauma. I find that gross. What I AM saying is that when it comes to the discourse and having your opinion heard, stating something completely false and not wavering from it is counterproductive.
@therewillbenic@KYODAIBARA@WeeboftheLeft@AytchAnd@TheBeaverton I also love how when I correct misinformation you posted, it's me "defending Depp" despite never saying he didn't do anything.
You go on a tirade about me & make wild assumptions & tell me how bad Depp is... that's not you defending Amber at all right? You're just reasonable?
@therewillbenic@KYODAIBARA@WeeboftheLeft@AytchAnd@TheBeaverton You can't just say something false like being found "guilty of 12 counts of abuse" and then get mad and say I'm "vehemently defending" when I'm telling you that if you wanna get your point across about fairness in trials, straight up lying is a BAD idea
@therewillbenic@KYODAIBARA@WeeboftheLeft@AytchAnd@TheBeaverton You are blinded by your binary vision here, friend. YOU are the one who claimed he was "found guilty of 12 counts of abuse". I am simply saying that is not at all true. I haven't poured through the evidence, we don't know the full story. However that is just an outright falsity
@therewillbenic@KYODAIBARA@WeeboftheLeft@AytchAnd@TheBeaverton I think I have to disengage because you clearly don't understand legal terms. A reasonable basis to believe it just means it theoretically COULD have happened. It's similar to the term "probable cause". That doesn't mean likely or anything similar, just a possible situation.
@therewillbenic@KYODAIBARA@WeeboftheLeft@AytchAnd@TheBeaverton You just don't know what probable means lol. In a legal setting it does NOT mean likely. It simply means there is a reasonable basis for believing it, that is all. No evidence being presented means a judge HAS to find the statement "probable" in a libel case.
@therewillbenic@KYODAIBARA@WeeboftheLeft@AytchAnd@TheBeaverton Guardian link to the breakdown of the rulings on the allegations, by the way:
https://t.co/cLpprkYA4g
Some of the conclusions are quite literally "The judge found Depp had been angry when the assault occurred." and that's all he had to work with. So he rendered it probable.
@therewillbenic@KYODAIBARA@WeeboftheLeft@AytchAnd@TheBeaverton Personally I have a LOT of mixed thoughts about various things in the trial & I'm a bit concerned by the viciousness coming out from some people.
However, saying complete falsities like that isn't good. There was no "guilty" verdict. It was a civil trial, without real evidence
@ray_aaaan @HurleyFace2022@annerD23@TomSchnauz Yes, but HurleyFace is saying that he would only have been able to know that Lalo died in the raid IF he was working for Gus. Which is extremely untrue & even covered by the show
