My book "Crossing Over At Remagen," is available in paperback, hardcover, Kindle, and Audible at Amazon. You can also find the audiobook by searching the title on Google Play books.
It is a tribute to my father's service in WWII at the Battle of Remagen. https://t.co/xVXEUkKGNp
@ken_manzel@AtheistPhoenix In the United States 21% of atheists have a HS diploma as their highest degree.
In the US 27% of Christians have a HS diploma as their highest degree earned.
There are plenty of what you would call "uneducated" people on both sides of this debate.
@ken_manzel@AtheistPhoenix Okay. I have a bachelor's degree and was half way through my master's degree before I quit. What relevance does that information have to the situation in which I meet an atheist with a HS degree?
@athiestboi In Matthew 5:22 the word is the Aramaic word "rhaka" which means "empty one" or "worthless."
In Luke 11:40 the word is the Greek word "aphron" which means "foolish" or "inconsiderate."
You fool!
@Lamaealdamann@silencedbyx@___TheGOOdWitch I am not saying that the argument is logically sound or valid, I am saying that it is emotionally compelling.
A Rabbi once told me that if the argument from evil convinces you that God does not exist, you have a flawed definition of God. And he was right.
@Lamaealdamann@silencedbyx@___TheGOOdWitch I generally agree with what you are saying.
But compassion for our fellow human beings (a prominent feature of the life of Jesus), makes this an incredibly powerful emotional appeal. I think Christians ignore this fact at there own peril.
@silencedbyx@___TheGOOdWitch Theism's response to this argument does not come directly from the Bible, but rather from theist philosophy, specifically the Moral Argument for God.
I will defend my previous statement by saying that the emotional impact of the Argument from Evil is powerful and undeniable.
@ScruffyOldApe@thereyoujoe@MentallyNathan Rather than answering a simple question 19 hours ago, you are whining about how you shouldn't have to answer questions and committing the red herring fallacy in the process.
You seem incapable of intelligent discussion.
Bye.

@ScruffyOldApe@thereyoujoe@MentallyNathan So we agree that there is evidence for the Big Bang. Good.
Do you agree with Hawking and Penrose that General Relativity predicts that time started with the Big Bang?
@ScruffyOldApe@thereyoujoe@MentallyNathan Stop whining every time I ask a question and scroll back and find the simple question that I asked.
I'm not going to waste any more effort on you.
If you can't remember what I asked, that is not problem.
