What you're describing isn't really an AI problem, it's a people problem that AI made cheap.

The business owner who forwarded you two ChatGPT screenshots without reading either one wasn't failing because of the tool. He was already the kind of person who'd rather offload a question than think about it. AI just removed the last bit of friction that used to force him to at least pretend to engage.

That's the part that's exhausting: not the text itself, but realizing the person on the other end checked out. The GitHub comments, the Reddit messages, the boss, they all have the same signature, someone deciding your question wasn't worth their actual attention.

The people who still read what you wrote and answer it themselves are still out there. They're just harder to spot now, because the noise floor went up. So the skill worth building isn't "avoid AI," it's "detect who's actually present." Ask a follow-up only a human who read your message could answer. The AI-forwarders fold instantly.
