I returned to Ogun State today with a full heart.

What I saw in Iperu is the kind of progress we must insist on as a nation. Quite deliberate, and built to last.

The Gateway Cargo Airport stands as proof of what is possible when vision is matched with discipline. As I said, “Our investment is about our people. Today’s foundation is for tomorrow’s prosperity.”

I acknowledge Governor Dapo Abiodun @DapoAbiodunCON for his focus and consistency. Development is not about noise. It is about decisions that improve lives.

From the aircraft launched today to the electric bikes, tractors, and security assets, this is what progress should look like. Practical, real, and visible. “Development must touch every level,” and I am pleased to see that principle taking shape in Ogun State.

Our Renewed Hope reforms are not abstract. They have provided more resources for sub-nationals and are creating room for states to act and deliver. Many states, including Ogun, are rising to the moment.

We will stay the course.

“We are building for people, and we are building for prosperity.”

Governor Seyi Makinde, you are not like Tinubu.

When you contested on the platform of ANPP for the Oyo south senatorial seat in 2007, you lost to Kamorudeen Adedibu of the PDP.

In 2011, you lost the Oyo south senate ticket to the same person in the PDP primary.

In 2015, under the Social Democratic Party, SDP, you came 5th in an election won by late Abiola Ajimobi of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Rashidi Ladoja of Accord, Adebayo Alao-Akala of Labour Party, and Teslim Folarin of PDP came second, third and fourth respectively.

You ran to Olopoeyan, Mulikat Adeola etc in PDP in 2019 and they took you to Wike and other national PDP leaders and you won and then ensured that those PDP leaders in Oyo state who God used to make your dream become reality were all brutally dealt with as a reward for helping you.

How can you say you are the same with Tinubu who contested for senate in 1992 and won at first attempt and contested for governor in 1999 and won also at first and contested for president in 2023 and won again at first attempt?

Congratulations that you are a two term governor but it is not everyone who left office as governor that remain relevant as Tinubu years after leaving office.

Who are your mentees?

Saying that you are like Tinubu is just like entertaining yourself and your political followers who, as at today, do not have a viable platform to contest the next election but there is no law that says a man can not entertain himself and his listeners.

I have postponed my trip to Iperu, Ogun State. My first duty at this moment is to stand with the people of Plateau.

I will be in Jos to commiserate with families who have lost loved ones and to reaffirm that those who seek to spread fear will not prevail. We will continue to strengthen our security response and ensure that justice is done.

From Plateau, I will proceed to Lagos to observe Good Friday, and then continue with scheduled engagements in Ogun, Lagos, and Bayelsa focused on infrastructure, trade, and economic growth.

In moments of grief, we must stand together. In moments of progress, we must keep building.

N3 trillion financing for Industrial sector!

President Tinubu has announced plans to allocate up to 5% of Nigeria’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) to industrial financing, leveraging public–private partnerships to drive large-scale production, export competitiveness, and job creation.

This is contained in the Nigeria 🇳🇬 Industrial Policy (NIP) 2025, released by the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment.

The policy is designed to reposition the economy toward mass production, stronger export performance, and sustainable employment growth.

Under the framework, the Bank of Industry is expected to be recapitalised to N3 trillion, while sector-specific intervention funds are also projected to rise to the same level.

Tonight, I hosted our State Governors to an interfaith breaking of the fast as Muslims observe Ramadan and Christians journey through Lent.

In this sacred season for two of the major faiths in our dear country, we are reminded that beyond politics and policy, we are first a people of conscience.

I commended the Governors for their efforts so far and for the various outreaches they have carried out this holy month. But I also challenged them to do more.

To reach the young man who feels forgotten.
To lift the woman who carries her family on tired shoulders.
To touch the communities at the grassroots where hope sometimes flickers.

Development must not recognise religion.
Compassion must not recognise tribe.
Opportunity must not recognise status.

I am determined to rescue this country. And as long as we work together in delivering hope to our citizens, the best is yet to come for Nigeria.

What I promised Nigerians will not be postponed.

Security is the foundation of prosperity. Without it, farms cannot flourish, businesses cannot grow, and families cannot sleep in peace.

We will establish state police to curb insecurity.

This is not about politics. It is about practicality. It is about empowering states with the tools to protect their people while strengthening our national framework.

We must be bold enough to reform what is not working. We must be united enough to protect what we hold dear.

Nigeria will be safer. Nigeria will be stronger. And together, we must commit to making it so.

There were two house of assembly seats contested for in Rivers state yesterday, Wike's candidates in APC won both.

In Abuja, all the six area council chairmanship seats were contested for, the APC candidates he supported won five while his faction of PDP won the only one that APC lost.

But the most interesting one is that of AMAC, Abuja Municipal Area Council. While all others are Abuja suburbs or what grammarians call satellite towns, AMAC is the centre of federal government offices and establishments. It is also the prime business center and home to foreign missions.

And so because of all these and more, the coalition felt that they should put all their efforts in winning AMAC.

Obi went to Utako market to buy a bottle of groundnut for N10k but people said that the woman who sold the groundnut to him ended up voting for APC.

Amaechi abandoned the few followers he has in Rivers state to also team up against Wike in AMAC and so he went on the street buying and eating roasted corn.

Dalung boasted that if they won AMAC, then Tinubu should start thinking of leaving Aso Villa in 2027.

Some people said that he is the unwise Solomon.

Atiku also campaigned for their candidate, one Dr Mo whose name I personally and sincerely think that would be better if he ventured into producing herbal medicine and call it Dr Mo Herbal Mixture.

The man who is from Benue boasted that Abuja is not Obio Akpor and that they'll teach Wike a lesson but yesterday Abuja voters who are mostly Gbagyi, the owners of the land and who one of them is the APC candidate, showed the lousy man that Abuja no be Benue.

APC won with 40k votes to 12k votes.

And then I woke up this morning with a question in my mind and the question is how will these people who pull all their resources together for only one local government election yet lost to Wike think that they can defeat Tinubu in a presidential election?
