@eccemarco Of course companies that are too big to fail can invest tons of moneys trying to turn noise into something useful…but sometimes happen they have to sell shares for 6.9$ billions before realizing it was a bad choice 😆

Nokia failed because not capable to read the weak signals. I see a similar pattern for #instagram that is trying to compete with the apex predator instead empowering and exapt the community they've built during the years.

@eccemarco Thanks for pushing me through interesting reflections: I would say small bets could help distinguish signal vs noise. Usually signals needs low energy cost to be catalysed, noise is where you waste money and energy with very little changes happening

@triciawang read these signals for Nokia @KylieJenner for Snapchat, they have ignored it and lost tons of money. Probably IG will follow the same destiny ignoring these signals as well. "Fail fast learn faster" isn't it?

@lunivore @sonjabl Yes, I think this kind of discussion it's a good example of a healthy one around emerging patterns we can amplify/dampen. But I also expect unhealthy ones depending on company culture :-P

@lunivore @sonjabl I agree they should be accountable but the issue is that accountability imho implies linear causation. For example: “did you put feedback in place?” “Yes I did”. And sadly, this is where usually most of the conversations ends.
