@seanpatward Easy, pick any popular online shopping box. Stitch fix, stately, what ever. Take pictures on your phone of the sets you like. Buy the items at discount stores. Done and done. 5-7 sets, all you need each season.
@Fire5280 I had this recently on a deep clean. Had 3 cleaners come and did a great job for about 4-5 hrs. Charged $875, then they discounted to $700. But also asked for tip on invoice…All three were driving nearly brand new Toyota 4Runners. I’m just not tipping on an expensive service.
@monicalimco@nickgraynews The desire to have hobbies or do all the things doesn’t go away, it’s just massively compounded by new responsibilities, financial obligations, and some times inescapable realities. This is where you really have to get focused on what you say yes to and what you say no to.
You can’t get a $1 million mortgage if you make $100K/year.
You can’t get a $75K car loan if you make $35K/year.
The fact that you can get $250K in student loans for a college degree where you’re expected to earn $40K/year is unacceptable and a complete failure of US society.
We have 18 year old kids making financial decisions that all but guarantee a lifetime of economic insecurity.
These kids do not have the capacity to understand the
implications of the debt they are taking on.
The corrupt university system has successfully convinced them going to college is the “smart thing to do” and that it will all work out.
These colleges should have to take the financial hit when they load up 18 years olds with hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt that basic math would tell you will never be repaid.
The federal government backstopping all these student loans does nothing but enable colleges to jack up their prices every year with zero accountability.
Shameful.
@OmariJHardy This is happening in Denver, and in most small downtown areas in most front range cities of CO. costs are much higher, but still occurring
Today we honor the memory of all those we lost on September 11, 2001. May we never forget their stories – and the bravery of our first responders and troops who sacrificed so much.
@stretchmypenny So did you not do any drop in inspections for 3 years? Renters are crazy no matter what. I’d inspect and request clean/fixes at least every 6 months. Otherwise it’s just how it is. I’m assuming the security deposit isn’t $25k.
@drgurner Wouldn’t that be nice! The debates in 2020 were petty, empty, embarrassing, and barely even touched on the issues. It was a full on narcissistic showdown that showed the world our leaders were out of touch and shouldn’t be respected.
Hopefully this round will be better.

If I use a StarWars analogy, between layoffs and AI, Someone has just initiated “Execute Order 66”
@dig_deeper1@sweatystartup Yup, I’m in north CO just 30 minutes from Denver. I am loving the appreciation rate *but. Last year our Prop taxes went up $150/month. This year, up $350/month. Many people can’t afford this. So in 2 years, my mortgage payment is up $500/month.
