@Hickey93 With regard to the 2s of fuel.. I’m going to hypothesize they were going for enough to get through the yellow and try to lose as few spots as possible at the blend line with the uncertainty of the length the conditions would stick around
@Hickey93 He was cleared to do any service. Theres a timing line at the transition from the race track to the decel lane that commits you into the pit. The track was still green when he tripped that line.
@tonydindy@AlexanderRossi@lundgaardoff@IMS This has been a procedural issue for years. They basically allow a full lap for anyone who wants to pit ahead of the yellow to take it. Then they close the pit and throw the yellow. It should be simple. If the car obviously cannot continue—it should be an immediate yellow.
If you’ve ever been to a Notre Dame game—or even watched one on TV—you’ve probably seen it…
The crowd swaying.
Arms around each other.
Voices rising together as one. 💚
The alma mater.
It’s one of my favorite Notre Dame traditions—and this week’s Throwback Thursday, I decided to dig a little deeper into the meaning behind the song we all know and love.
Where did it come from?
Who wrote it?
And what does alma mater really mean?
What I found made me love this tradition even more.
☘ Take a few minutes and come along with me on this journey back in time…

With love, laughter, and a little Irish magic. 💚 @OneFootDown
@JoeyBarnes85 Don’t need new sets of tires for this run. That’s part of the strategy. Take a used set or gamble on new. New aren’t at their peak until lap 2-3-4 anyway… so you actually don’t get an advantage by having to run them 1 lap. The parody won’t be what you think it is.
@JoeyBarnes85 Im with @TheCincyBuckeye , don’t love the TV timeout in the middle of the 6. Kind of killed the drama in my mind. Just run them all back-to-back-to-back.. then do a 90 second commercial before coming back for interviews and celebration. The rest of it was bangin. Great drama.
@champwebdotnet Arguably this is not a side effect of the system at all. This is a side effect of a team that didn’t meet its own financial goals. Charter or no charter it wouldn’t matter. If you can’t make the financials work, the charter doesn’t save you.
Nothings felt more entertaining today than single car qualifying for the #FirestoneFastSix. Reminds me of Super Pole in European karting. One lap. Lay it all out. Send it. @IndyCar , we need to keep this for all future events.
Marcus Freeman has plenty of people in his corner. Few actually understand what it’s like to be in his shoes and can be a mentor.
The late Lou Holtz was one of the few.
“He always tells me, ‘I’ll give you my opinion but never any advice.’ But his opinion matters.”
RIP, Lou.
NO! Permanent DST is worse than clock change. We need permanent Standard Time, the natural clock set honestly to the sun! Remind your congress members today!
I can positively say this has been the most fun year I’ve had in my 15 years in INDYCAR. From leading laps at the 500 to the incredible battle with Pato at Gateway and scrapping our way to the front at Nashville, you never gave up on us. I’m certainly proud of everything we did!
Feels like I could write a book about all the ups and downs this year… some incredible moments. Some personal and professional struggles. I appreciate those who continue to believe because I will not give up. See you in 2026 ✌️ #indycar
@SSN_OleMiss Looks like LSU is getting someone of the same character they are trying to replace. He’ll eventually fuck them, too. Couldn’t happen to a better group of folks. Good luck!
